I have decided to manage Guangzhou who are in the Chinese Super League. My objective is to dominate Asian Football as soon as possible. The team are favourites to win the league so hopefully I can deliver in my first season.

The Squad

The Tactics

The tactics I am going to use this season are both which I have used in previous saves: a 4-3-3 in the form of a "false 9" and a 4-2-3-1 which I used in my Bilbao save.

Transfers

I won't be letting anyone leave the club just yet, will only look to bring in some players for the first season.

The season starts in January and I will do monthly updates of how I am getting on in my challenge and I hope you enjoy reading it.
Something interesting and new. Good luck!

I'll definitely be following this, it's not everyday you get to read a Chinese Super League story :)

So after many friendlies I finally played my first competitive match in charge of Guangzhou in the Chinese Super Cup and I won. Great feeling, another 2 long months of pre-season till the start, seems to be dragging in.

going off topic in one of my recent friendlies it was brought to my attention that this player was a danger man, really immature of me, but couldn't help myself :( :))

Is there anything I could improve on this?
No, just keep going, more people will start to get more interested once the season has started.

Taking such a long time to get into the season, doesn't start till the 31st of March and I'm only mid-way through February.
I lost patience and decided to go on holiday till the day before my 1st league match, only to find out the Asian Champions league had started, so I have now played one and lost one after suffering a 2-0 defeat at the hands of a Brisbane Roar. Now my team face Funabashi Bandits in my 2nd champions league match. Still no league start yet.
Another defeat, will be a huge test to get out of the group to qualify for the next round of the Asian Champions League. Was a 3-0 defeat but I'm still confident we can qualify, need to stop tinkering with the tactics if I am to be successive.
Another disappointing game, lost 1-0 in a game that we dominated but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. I now have no option but to overload in the remaining games, very hard to work with, but I still suggest more people do stories about Asian football as it isn't as easy as it seems. Either that or I'm just a bad manager.
Been knocked out of the ACL, words can't describe how that has damaged the morale within the team. With the start of the season round the corner, much improvement is needed!
