As the unknown, unproven, and unheard of manager enters the Press Conference Room for the first time, he his greeted with a mixture of attitudes, some wondering if he will do it, and the others believing he will do it. After Fabio Capello walked out on England he devastated the whole of England, and the least they expected was their new manager Josh Sleightholm... Can he be the one?

England succeed with new boss

First game in charge, first win, excellent performance from the lads. Happy with the youngsters I played, Henderson, Rodwell and Oxlade-Chamberlain, they are already making first team places for themselves.

England fight for victory

Happy for the boys that they managed to pull it back and win after going 2-0 down. Good goals from all of them, especially Danny Sturridges' winner. I hoped he would perform and he did.

Euro Qualifiers: 2.9.11
Bulgaria 2-3 England

Well he hasn't been that bad in the last couple of games, and not bad for Arsenal, so I gave him a chance.

Rooney sinks Wales

Expected this result, a good win for the boys, got to thank the extra time though, every goal was scored in the added minutes of extra time, strange huh?

Line Up: Hart, Gibbs, Terry, Cahill, Richards, Rodwell, Cleverley, Young, Chamberlain, Sturridge, Rooney
Subs Used: Smalling, Baines, Henderson

Euro Qualifiers: 6.9.11
England 3-0 Wales
Young

Own goal unfortunate for England

Still undefeated during my reign of England, but came close to loosing that today. Unlucky not to take all 3 points today, but a quite unavoidable error from Shawcross led to an own goal. Yes, Beckham is in for a reason, purely for experience. Terry, Wilshere, Ferdinand and Stockdale out to injury. Wilshere and Ferdinand definitely ruled out of squad against Spain, Terry unlikely.

Line Up: Hart, Cole, Shawcross, Cahill, Johnson, Lampard, Rodwell, Crouch, Rooney
Subs Used: Beckham, Jones, Lennon

Euro Qualifiers: 7.10.11
Montenegro 1-1 England
Crouch
Shawcross
Chamberlain

Next Match vs Spain (Friendly)
So glad to see Shawcross in your story mate, I had him in my England team and he was a rock! Im really enjoying this story so far, keep up the good work!

Sleightholm's experiment pays off

Went well this match, found out a few things;
1.Forster isn't as good as I first thought he was.
2.The Young side I fielded played very well together.
3.Shawcross is now ranked around the fourth best Centre Back for England.
4.I can draw to Spain with a team that has the average age of 22! :))

Line Up: Forster, Baines, Shawcross, Smalling, Johnson, Jones, Rodwell, Lennon, Chamberlain, Sturridge, Welbeck
Subs Used:

Friendly:12.11.11
England 2-2 Spain
Shawcross
Villa
Sturridge
Navas
Villa

Sleightholm finally looses

Argh! First loss for me, however this was only a friendly, and still haven't lost in a competitive match yet, England played like a league 2 team, tried to pass, tried to keep possession but it just didn't seem to work. England have qualified for the Euro 2012. England came first, Montenegro came 2nd, and also qualified, Switzerland 3rd, Bulgaria 4th, and then Wales 5th.

Formation: 4-1-2-2-1
Line Up: Hart, Baines, Cahill, Terry, Johnson, Jones, Rodwell, Henderson, Welbeck, Walcott, Rooney
Subs Used: Stockdale, Lampard, Gibbs, Cleverley, Smalling, Chamberlain

Friendly: 15.11.11
England 1-3 Sweden
Rooney
Ibrahimovich (Pen)
M. Olsson
Kallstrom

Next Match vs Holland, Norway, Italy, France, Spain, Belgium (All Friendly's) Doing them all together.

Euro 2012 Group stages announced

England have drawn Montenegro, Sweden, and World Cup winners Spain! All the other groups are pretty much the same, two 'likely' group winners and two 'unlikely' winners, but, time will tell...
Unlucky with your loss against Sweden :/ . Even though plating a possession games is the best way to play . It's just not the English way . You havnt really got the players required in order to hold onto the ball

I know, unlucky really, and with the bit about possession, I don't play my possession tactic that often (The one I use on my other story you read/still are reading)

England successful in Friendlies

Good Pre-Euro results, Zamora scoring 3, Walcott 2, and youngsters Gibbs, Rodriguez, Rodwell and Shelvey also claiming goals. Watford keeper Scott Loach impressed in goal against Holland, whilst number one keeper Joe Hart played the rest.
