Too many advanced playmakers?

I was wondering if anyone ever played with 3 advanced playmakers in the starting 11. one CM and AML and AMR. does it work ? i am managing fulham and i have bryan Ruiz, andrea poli and Dzsudzsak ...

Maor Buzaglo very good at assiting and cheap,Kevin de bruyne can play left,right or centre mid,For the right i would try and get Kiko Femenia great on the right,and if u want a dm/cm enforcer try Yoni Buyen's,his stats are not all that but he owns the midfeild..Good Luck

Sorry i must be buzzing,Man city play with three attacking midfielders and it works wonder's for them.Never trieed it personally,i always have wide winger's,but if u play with 3 attacking midfeilders,u must have fast wing backs.

Dude i'm talking about playing with advanced playmakers not attacking midfielders ... I tried with 2 for now: poli in the center and Ruiz on AMR and Ruiz missed a few sitters. Any ideas gentlemen ?

You should not play with three advanced playmakers UNLESS you play like Spain did just now at the Euro, the infamous 4-6-0.

The BWM and the Anchor Man "defend", the Playmaker as "support" the inside forward as support and Trequartista as attack.

It's impressive football when you set out to do something, and can do it even when people try to set up specifically to stop it. For Spain there was some of that effect this tournament. And they only played moderately well in response, but the results justify something, no? What I felt like was they set up too close to the opponent's goal most of the time. If you're going to pass like mad around the edge of the 18, there's not much room to break free when the opponent packs 8/9/10 field players back in the box. And this is what I don't like, and when it gets boring. They had some moments in Euro 2012 when they set up higher and looked for some angles and some runners behind and I thought that worked really well. Perhaps for Spain that only works well when it's not what you do all the time. So then this is the problem, I think, with too many "playmaker" types. They won't look to score, they'll look to set someone else up to score. and when the player they pass to is thinking the same thing, you don't get either the positive move to goal, or taking the longer shot when it happens to be open, because you're always looking for someone in a better position even than you are. I sure wouldn't play three; I'd play three AMCs, yes, if the situation warrants, but one or two of those better be looking to get to goal. The objective, after all, is to score more than your opponent.

I don't know how it is in 2012, but in 2011, Poli was an excellent DLP.

i dont understand hows Spain's 4-6-0 is boring. the aim is to dominate the match while not giving the opposition a chance. it worked wonders during Euro 2012 only conceding 1 goal whilest playing teams off the park .
the only people who will find this tactic boring are those who like to watch england play there long ball game or prefer direct football in my eyes the latter doesnt take any skill what so ever.

batata u need to get R Funes Mori as Targetman,and then u can play 3 AP's around him,he will get alot of goals and assist's if u train him to use 1-2's as preffered move's.

In fact, in most cases, they don't even attempt to go forward, but simply make circles around the opposition, VERY frequently at the half. And then, when they do get to the box, they normally don't even shoot or even try: because they have several playmakers each to make the assist. Very often, they get to the box, and then end up passing the ball all the way back to the goalkeeper.

If I wanted to watch keep-away, I'd go downstairs and watch the neighbour's kid

you are ABSOULUTELY RIGHT! fuck spain method. keep away is very boring and everyone single one is getting tired of it.

wtf dude? its super unatractive football, and the "direct" style of england its not ball to the front and have faith ! i prefer watching england play than spain. portugal kicked the hell of the boring footbal spain had in this last euro. they were unlucky though

The reason behind not attampting to go forward is because of the philosophy behind there tactic. It is there way of defending by keeping the ball. Swansea City did the same thing, first season in the permiership and they finish 11 just 1 goal away from 10th place that amazing for a team who just got in to the premiership.

I didnt find spain boring they score some great goals and make great chances to score.

i don't know guys... In football I love long shots and crosses. i also like players making so risky passes. Spain doesn't do any of those. unless the player is 100% sure that his team mate will control the ball and keep it for a while, he will not make the pass he prefers to give it someone else. i find that boring.
And about the topic i think you all agree that i can play 3 Adv playmkers so i'm going to buy one and try. tbendis Poli has been very good as an advanced playmaker in my team. he already got 3 assists in 5 games and i just bought him. maybe i'll try him as DLP and see how it goes

i find spain very boring indeed. but then just as you are getting bored, iniesta or xavi pop up with some absolute magic. the ability those 2 have is unmatched. the vision to be able to spot a run and the intelligence to be able to know exactly how to slice the defence in half, then the technique to be able to pull off a perfectly timed, perfectly placed, perfectly weighted pass. its hard to understand how they can do it.
