Application Error - A serious error was encountered and the application will close..

I try to launch Football Manager 2012, and the following message appears:

A serious error was encountered and the application will close. An error file has been generated in: C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2012\Crash Dumps\FM 2012 V12.0.2.230123 (2012.07.17.16.22.08).dmp

I've uninstalled the game, reinstalled it, wiped the entire game and its components off the PC, I don't know what else to try, if someone can assist I'd be extremely grateful.

NOTE: My copy of the game is NOT installed or connected to steam in anyway, all steam required files were removed, I was told it was fine to do so by SEGA. I had used the game perfectly fine for 3 game seasons, but when I uninstalled it to clean the PC it wouldn't reinstall.

may i know what is your PC or notebook specifications ???

i had the same problem.and nobody could advice me what to do.i tried everything.delete from hidden folders fm settings roaming.reinstall the fm.format pc.all backup saves didnt load.i still don't know the reason.maybe its depends from version.i had 12.04.and one friend of mine plays only default version without any patche or update and he plays until 2021 without problems!!!
