Hi,

I will be doing a Fulham save on this story (hint in the title). I am looking to get them into the Champions League within 3-4 seasons and I will look to develop a young team mixed with experience. Here are my tactics:

http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u392/jamstoe/Tactics1.png

This is my main tactic. I will be using this for most matches as it is the most neutral tactic.

http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u392/jamstoe/Tactics2-2.png

This is my attacking tactic. I will be using this in cup games and easy games where I feel I can win easily.

http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u392/jamstoe/Tactics3.png

This is my defensive tactic. I will be using this against teams such as Man United, Man City and Chelsea and I will be using a counter-attacking strategy.

I will post my transfers up as I go so that will probably be my next post
Will be following this story! I like Fulham as a club :) Hopefully your story lasts.

Transfers

I was given a budget of £250k and a £139k p/w wage budget. Here are the transfers so far:

Peter Whittingham
Price- £2.1m (all over 48 months)
From- Cardiff
Position- CM
Peter will be a rotational CM and will help us create lots of goals for Zamora and Dembele to score.

http://assets1.lfcimages.com/uploads/players/wisdom263_4ebaa0be64e07497765507.jpg

Andre Wisdom
Price- £110k
From- Liverpool
Position- CB
Andre Wisdom is an exciting 17-year-old talent that I have bought to Fulham. Philippe Senderos will tutor him and hopefully in a few seasons he will be a leading star.

Jamal Blackman
Price- 50k
From- Chelsea
Position- GK
I am thinking this is deal of the season. He is already nearly as good Mark Schwarzer already and is only 17. When Schwarzer retires he will be our No.1 Goalie.

http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110718151921/liverpoolfc/images/thumb/7/70/Silva.jpg/200px-Silva.jpg

Toni Silva
Price- 190k
From- Liverpool
Position- LAM
Silva is only 17 but will be playing alongside Dempsey and Ruiz this season. He can play in any attacking midfield role which makes him even better.

Robert Pires
Price- £0
From- /
Position- CAM
Pires is an experienced midfielder who will hopefully lead us to the top of the league like he did at Arsenal.

http://www.worldfootballers.com/images/Galleries/Fortune_shot.jpg

Quinton Fortune
Price- £0
From- /
Position- utility
Fortune is another experienced player who knows how to play at the top. He will be useful to fill any gaps in the squad if we have injuries.

Marco Materazzi
Price- £0
From- /
Position- CB
Marco Materazzi is a World Cup-winning player who commands the back four. He will work well with Brede Hangeland.

So those are my transfers and my next post will be pre-season and the qualifying rounds of the Europa League.
Really good free signings. Blackman will be a star for you, as long as you train him right in the first season itself.
Also, Quinton Fortune still exists in the game? I didn't know that.

Thanks! I'm really pleased with my signings and could you suggest how to train Blackman??? Quinton Fortune is 34 in the game so he still has a year or two left.

I usually have him on Strength training, Kicking and possibly Postioning. Not at the same time, of course, but I keep changing that throughout the season. Will be reading.

Thanks- I will try it later in the season as I loaned him out to Huddersfield for 6 months.

Injury News

Bobby Zamora has been injured for 7 to 9 months following a collision with Marco Materazzi in training. Zamora was going to play a big part in my plans so I will need to find a replacement soon.

Transfers

I have signed a few more players before the start of the season:

Zac Aley
Price- £190k
From- Blackburn
Position- LAM
Zac Aley is another young talent which I have brought to the club. He will be back-up for Clint Dempsey and Bryan Ruiz on the wings along with Toni Silva.

http://www.arsenal.com/assets/_files/scaled/45x45/aug_11/gun__1312796978_140_player1112_miyaichi.jpg

Ryo Miyaichi
Price- loan
From- Arsenal
Position- RAM
Ryo Miyaichi will be a rotational option if Dempsey or Ruiz are tired and need to be rested, which will happen alot due to us being in the Europa League.

http://www.ccfpa.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Claus-Jorgensen-2011a-209x300.jpg

Claus Jorgensen
Price- £0
From- /
Position- CM
Ex-Blackpool star Claus Jorgensen will probably not be playing much but will do a big job helping to tutor young players. I will be hoping to offer him a coaching role at the club after he retires.

So overall, a very good pre-season and a comfortable Europa League Qualifying. I have made one more signing to cover for Bobby Zamora. Here he is:

Transfers

http://www.footballzz.com/img/jogadores/15/79615_peq_federico_macheda.jpg

Federico Macheda
Price- loan
From- Manchester United
Position- ST
I have brought Macheda in on a loan until the end of the season to cover for the long-term injury of Bobby Zamora. He will hopefully will work quite well with Mouassa Dembele.

So my next post will be the first game of the season against QPR. Bring it on!!!!!!11

Fulham Hit QPR Hard

Fulham 4-0 QPR
Mouassa Dembele
John Arne Risse
Brede Hangeland
Clint Dempsey
Clint Dempsey

We kicked off the season with a good thrashing of new-boys QPR. We never gave them a chance as we flew to the top of the table and new signing Federico Macheda put in a good display on his competitive debut. Here are the line-ups:

http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u392/jamstoe/FulhamvsQPRLine-Ups.png

Our next game is against Sheriff in the Europa League 4th Qualifying Round before playing Everton in the Premier League.

Fulham Ease To Victory

Europa League 4th Qualifying Round (Leg 1)

Sheriff 0-2 Fulham
Ryo Miyaichi
Danny Murphy (pen)
Ryo Miyaichi

We set up a comfortable margin for the second leg with a 2-0 win over minnows Sheriff. Loanee Ryo Miyaichi was the star of the show with a goal on his first start for us. I didn't put out my best team as I wanted to rest some players for the next game against Everton but our line-up was still much stronger than theirs:

http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u392/jamstoe/SheriffvsFulhamLine-Ups.png

I am confident we can do well in the Europa League and at least make it out of the Group Stages. I am also confident we can beat Everton in our next game.

Fulham Finally Lose

Everton 1-0 Fulham

We finally lost a competitive game after we put in a poor performance against a strong Everton side. Leon Osman's fluke goal, which went in off the underside of the crossbar, separated the two teams. We will look to beat Sheriff again in our next game but I really want to win our next Premier League game. Here are the line-ups:

http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u392/jamstoe/EvertonvsFulhamLine-Ups.png

Our next game against Sheriff will put us into the Europa League Group Stages if we win and we could still get back to 1st in the Premier League from 5th if we beat Blackburn and other results go our way.

Fulham Through Despite Loss

Europa League 4th Qualifying Round (Leg 2)

Fulham 1-2 Sheriff
Federico Macheda

Final Score: Fulham 3-2 Sheriff

We reached the Europa League Group Stages despite a very poor display against an improved Sheriff side. I again rested some players but I still expected a win as it was at home. We only won thanks to a 90+3 minute wonder goal by Federico Macheda, who was our best player today. Here are the line-ups:

http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u392/jamstoe/FulhamvsSheriffLine-Ups.png

Our next game is against Blackburn and we will be looking to end a 2-match losing streak with a thrashing.
