Maybe your strikers have bad finishing stats? With Saudi Arabia U23's I had highly rated strikers with poor finishing and couldn't score to save myself then I called up really crap strikers with high finishing stats and scored buckets!

You can change how often they do long shots on player instructions. You can also set your match preparation on teamwork, see if that helps. If you've signed a few new players then it may also get time for him to adapt to the country and your game, which can affect it too, or they may just be all selfish
