Manchester United Announce New Manager

Nick Peck has been announced as the new manager of Manchester United FC, after the recent retirement of Manchester legend Sir Alex Ferguson. The manager who won the European Cup twice, the league multiple times, as well as the FA Cup, Carling Cup, Communtiy Shield and plenty more. However, due to not being able to cope with the stress, and job of the managerial position, Sir Alex has retired into the hall of fame, for Nick Peck to try and follow the footsteps of a true legend.
Welcome Nick, and best of luck with Man U, I hope you can follow in Sir Alex's footsteps and one day (heaven forbid) surpass his record.

I know I have spent a lot, and you may think too much, but now I won't spend much, if any, in the next 3 or 4 transfer windows, as I feel the , and the team I have now can last a while, and will be able to build up good chemistry throughout the seasons. My plan for the next few windows will be to spend as little as possible and bring in some youngsters, especially into the reserve and under 18 .

Antwerp 0-2 Manchester United

Rooney '6
Cavani '31

A fairly easy for Peck's , with a great debut for Cavani, scoring a great goal before being taken off through a slight knock. A solid performance all round, with the under no real pressure and easily handling any possible danger.

W. Rooney (MU) 8.5

Chivas 0-1 Manchester United

Vidic '35

Another win for the boys in red, this time from an outstanding headed goal from Nemanja Vidic. In a fairly basic game, with no real drama, the pre-season victory is sure to only boost the confidence of Nick Peck and the squad, with 2 wins out of 2.

N.Vidic (MU) 8.3
would have been good to see some different signings to what we always see
#61737 its me : would have been good to see some different signings to what we always see

Sorry, but it's because I have only just started to play FM, and this is my first story, so I looked around other stories to see who seemed to be good at the club. Next window I'll try to scout more players and find some gems!

Changchun 1-3 Manchester United

Nani '7
Hamsik '13
Trindade de Vilhena '90+1

A third win for the reds, and a great by 16 year old Vilhena, after coming on as a substitute just past the hour mark. Marek Hamsik also grabbed his first goal for the club after a quick equaliser by the Chinese side, following a volley from Nani.

M. Hamsik (MU) 8.3

Beijing 1-3 Manchester United

Cavani '17
Welbeck '65
Smalling '76

The unstoppable force just got stronger with their fourth win of pre-season. With Cavani grabbing another goal early on, Danny Welbeck came on in the second half to retain the lead after a Beijing goal. Chris Smalling than scored a 3rd securing the win.

E. Cavani (MU) 8.3

Paying so much over the next two years is going to kill the club. You will need to be careful and sell some big names once they become fringe players.
