Can you use savegames as network games?

I was thinking I have a Man United save in 2019 where I have a lot of good regens that won't make it immediately in my first team, could I use this save game to start a network game so my mate, who likes managing at a lower level, can manage my feeder team and hopefully develop them

yes thats how online game works...its the same just that u change the settings to make it an online game. very easy, just follow a tutorial on the site.
