hi there how can you get your attacking midfielder scoring currently have thomas mull and Honds playing behind neymar, yet they rarley score, normally have them as an advanced playmaker but also tried AM but still hardly score.
The roles that provides more goals on a AMC position is inside forward or trequartista.
I think that inside forward is more effective to score goals, because with that role the player do more diagonal moves to the box and will have more chances to score.
The main function of a trequartista is creating chances, but will also move to the box looking for scoring chances. Trequartista normally end the season with the same quantity of assists and goals.
Attacking midfielder and advanced player will focus on creating chances, being normal assist more than score.
I would agree with myfmdaily that the roles of inside forward and trequartista are the best goalscoring roles for an AMC.
Reyes got a hattrick for me as Trequartista against Valencia
if i use trequartista, what palyer instructions should i do
You can only set attack for Trequartista. It mostly depends on the player instructions, if you set them to shoot from distance lots, run with the ball lots and pass rarely they will get chances and score
The question I have is whether it matters if this position scores. This is obviously a very team specific situation... if your AMC is involved in play, and lots of goals are coming from the team, whether or not those are assists for your AMC (only the "last pass" is an assist which is sometimes a little unfair), then it's not something I'd worry about. If the forward(s) are having trouble scoring, which can be their fault or not, then maybe I'm looking for more contribution from the AMC (well, and the rest of the midfield) in that department. What I don't want to do is take the player out of the best role for them just to try to get a few more goals.
