DANIEL LAUDRUP TAKES CONTROL OF SWANSEA CITY

24th January 2012,

Media Reports has confirmed that retired Danish football sensation, Daniel Laudrup, is the new manager of Premier League struggler's, Swansea City after the recent sacking of Danish manager, Michael Laudrup. Swansea City are in a dissapointing 18th position and will be hoping that manager Daniel Laudrup would help them to keep the Swans away from the dreaded Relegation zone. Laudrup has promised to the Swansea fans that he will bring entertaining football to the Liberty Stadium. However, fans are in doubt to whether another Danish coach could bring success to the Liberty Stadium. But, they would certainly be hoping that Daniel Laudrup would be a successor to Michael's exit. With the transfer window shutting in a few days, Laudrup has confirmed that he would not be making any transfers and would put in total faith to his demoralized squad.

Swansea City's Squad

Daniel Laudrup would certainly be having a hard time at the Liberty Stadium. With key players such as Ki Sung-Yong, Ashley Williams and Pablo Hernandez requesting a move away from the Liberty Stadium due to their disappointing 18th postion, Laudrup would have to find a way to bring morale, confidence and belief back to the Swansea Squad. On the good side of note, Ex-Swansea manager, Michael Laudrup has left Daniel Laudrup with 2 loaned players and one signing; De Guzman, Itay Shechter and Haris Medunjanin. During Michael's press conference about Swansea's new head coach, he said that he believes that Daniel will bring success to the Liberty Stadium and strongly feels that Daniel will bring an ERA to the Liberty Stadium.

Laudrup's preferred formation: 4-3-3 Defensive Style (Prefers to have a DM). But as Swansea are lacking of Strikers, Laudrup would instead field a 4-1-2-2-1 formation.

Substitutes:

Haris Medunjanin [Michael Laudrup's signing during the January Transfer Window]
Wayne Routledge
Pablo Hernandez

Daniel Laudrup's first game in charge of Swansea would be against Norwich City.

Laudrup's first game in charge as Swansea's manager

Things did not look good for Laudrup during his first game in charge for Swansea.
Laudrup's men suffered a beating against Premiership struggler's Norwich city with a score of 4-1 at Carrow Road. Fans were totally unhappy about the performance that the players have shown during the game and were beginning to questioned Laudrup's tactical plays. Player's like Chico, Pablo Hernandez and Michael Vorm were under-performing and Laudrup would have to find a way to change things around very quickly before the losing streak rises.

[Swansea's Nathan Dyer was the only goal-scorer for Swansea during their game against Norwich City.]

Due to Chico and Hernandez poor peformance at Carrow Road, Laudrup has decided to replaced them with a more deserving players. Players with Kyle Bartley and Haris Medunjanin has shown great improvements during the training sessions and are likely candidates to replaces Chico and Hernandez.

Laudrup's next game would be against Reading at the Liberty Stadium.

Laudrup's first game in charge of Swansea at the Liberty Stadium

Swansea fans would certainly expect Laudrup's men to perform at their home ground against Reading in what the media says it would be called as the "Battle of the Relegation zone". During Laudrup's Pre-Match conference, A journalist ask Laudrup whether he and his boys could fight to stay above relegation. Laudrup's answer was: "There are 15 Premiership games remaining, with the time I have currently right now, I don't see why we cant stay above the dreaded relegation zone." Laudrup would also expect his boys to perform in their game against Reading as this could be an important point to clinch in order to stay away from the dreaded relegation zone.

Swansea are without Striker Danny Graham (Due to a minor injury) and midfielder Ki Sung-Yong (Due to International Call-up). It would be a blow to Swansea as both players are key figures for Swansea City, and would be hoping that they would do well without them.

FULL TIME:Swansea 1-1 Reading.
Man Of The Match: Jonathan De Guzman

It was a close fought game at the Liberty Stadium as both team played their hearts out to clinch a win for their side in what people say this game is called as the "Battle of the Relegation zone." It was Reading's striker Jason Robert who open up the scoreline as he placed the ball through the legs of Michel Vorm from the mistake of Kyle Bartley in his attempt to clear the ball. Reading's defender Adrian Mariappa went in for an early shower after his second yellow card in the 31st minute as he made a rash tackle on Swansea's midfielder Haris Medunjanin. During the Second Half, Loaned midfielder Jonathan De Guzman fired a spectacular 30 yard strike as he equalised for Swansea city. Fans were ecstatic with De Guzman's strike and believe's that with this strike, it would bring in confidence for the Swans to score more goals.

Though Manager Daniel Laudrup was pleased with De Guzman's strike, he was clearly unhappy with the way his boys was playing as he stated it after the Reading game. He said that his boys were allowing too much spaces for Reading to attack although they were down to 10 men from the 1st half. He would expect much better performances from his boys during their next game against a tough Everton side at the Liberty Stadium, whom is looking for a Continental place this season.

Sure, the result in itself wasn't amazing, because you should be winning against Reading, but the writing style is very good. If you can continue writing with this much detail, your story will be a must-read for everyone.

thanks mate, would certainly be hoping that my Swans would turn out as a success :)
Really nice style of writing so far, you have been unlucky with the results so far but things will change and hopefully so will your form.

Daniel Laudrup still searching for his first win

Swansea's next game against a strong Everton side would surely test the tactics and the strengths of the Laudrup boys. Daniel Laudrup is desperately trying to find his first win for Swansea and perhaps a win against Everton at the Liberty Stadium would be very sweet for him and his Squad. However, Daniel Laudrup realised that his squad were low in morale, and had decided to hold a team meeting. With words of wisdom and encouragement for the Laudrup's boys, Most of them gained much confidence. Although there are some players that did not seemed to be listening to Laudrup's words of wisdom, they still managed to gain some confidence due to the atmosphere around them. After the team meeting, manager Daniel Laudrup firmly believe's that his squad is strong enough to face Everton. Swansea would be without key midfielder Ki Sung-Yong ( Due to International Call-up) but there has been good reports that Graham would be fit for the Everton game. This would boost Swansea's attacking line-up as they have the likes of De Guzman, Medunjanin, Michu and Dyer to cause problems for the Everton Defence.

Daniel Laudrup's Pre-Match Conference at the Liberty Stadium

Journalist:"Your side is going up against a tough Everton squad, whom is aiming for a Continental place this season. What are you aims for this game?"
Laudrup: "Yes, Everton is a tough team, but I always back my players to do well. We will go out there and show them why we can dominate the match."

FULL TIME: Swansea 3-0 Everton.
Goalscorers: Danny Graham(2), Haris Medunjanin
Man Of The Match: Danny Graham

Daniel Laudrup would be very pleased with his boys as Swansea City produced a solid display in their 3-0 victory against a strong Everton side. Swansea's lone striker Danny Graham managed to put the ball into the net during the 38th minute with a strong header assisted by midfielder Haris Medunjanin. Things started to get worse for the Everton side. Swansea's Haris Medunjanin managed to shoot the ball past Tim Howard with a magnificent free kick. Danny Graham then confirmed Daniel Laudrup's first victory with a simple lob above Tim Howard's head as he managed to dribble past two Everton defenders swiftly.

Daniel Laudrup has reassured that there will be no room for complacency and would be looking forward to bring in more victories for Swansea City. Swansea's fans were delighted with Graham's contribution at the Liberty Stadium and would be hoping that it will continue for a long period of time.

Swansea City's Winless Streak has just begun

After Daniel Laudrup's famous victory against a strong Everton side, things did not looked really good for Laudrup's men. Swansea City only managed to produce draws in their game against Wigan Athletic which ended 1-1 and also against Newcastle United which ended in an entertaining 3-3 draw. Anger sparks into Laudrup as his teams are starting to keep putting in easy goals. And the blame would be Swansea's CB Chico who has been underrated for those two matches. Manager Daniel Laudrup has decided that he would uphold a private conversation with the under-performing Chico and would try to help the CB to gain more confidence in his next game. The conversation went out well, with Chico realising his mistakes, his expectations and his reponsibilities whenever he's wearing the Swan's jersey. Manager Daniel Laudrup would really want the defender to produce solid performances as the next game would be crucial, as Swansea City would be up against Premiership Giants Manchester United at the Liberty Stadium.

Swansea's manager, Daniel Laudrup would be in a lot of headache as he will be without players Michel Vorm, Danny Graham, Ashley Williams, Pablo Hernandez, De Guzman and Michu as all of them suffered injuries during the Wigan/Newcastle match and in training. Midfielder Ki Sung-Yong is still out on International Duty and this would be a real test for Daniel Laudrup and his available resources.

Swansea's key midfielder, Pablo Hernandez, is one of those six players ineligible for the United match due to injuries.

Daniel Laudrup's Pre-Match Conference VS Manchester United at the Liberty Stadium

Journalist: "Seven of your key players are out due to injuries/International Call-ups. Are you confident that your boys could handle the strength and the pace of United?"
Daniel Laudrup: "If my boys performed as what I instructed, then there should be no problem in handling United."

FULL TIME: Swansea City 0-1 Manchester United
Man Of The Match: Javier Hernandez

In what it is to be a very close fought game for Swansea City against Manchester United at the Liberty Stadium. Though Manchester United were dominating the game, Swansea City has lots of great opportunities that were wasted, one of those chances was Haris Medunjanin's Piledriver that has hitted the post. Manchester United managed to break the chains as striker Javier Hernandez managed to place the ball into the side of the net which leaves no chance for 2nd Choice GK, Gerhard Tremmel, to deny it. Manchester United would be happy with a narrow win, which closes it's gap against its Manchester Rivalry, The Citizens, in their bid to win their 20th Premier League Title. No comment was made by Swansea's manager, Daniel Laudrup as he stormed out of the Conference room without saying a word when a journalist asked "How does it feels to be under pressure by the fans as your winless streak continues?"
