right lads :) , need some transfer help

just goin into my 3rd season with birmingham, managed 2 stay in the premier league now im just looking for some good quality players to make me mount a decentish challege for the league lol ? dont need 2 b young , jus quality,, budget is set at £24.400,0000

I do realize it's difficult to get the best players even if you have the budget because of the club's reputation, but that is the fun of the game to feel the satisfaction of scouting players with your talent scouts

My suggestion are:
- upgrade your training facilities to attract more good players.
- assign your scouts to many different competition (leagues, champions league, copa libertadores, world cup, etc), remember to set one competition per one scout.
- regularly check your player search, unpick the "unrealistic transfer" option & sort the players by its rating to give you feedback of the best player around.
- when you want to sign a player who doesn't have interest with your club, praise him once every 2 months and do that for one year or until we become his favorite person, with this technique I once managed to get kaka & jack wilshere to my swansea save.

I hope this would help because nothing can replace the satisfaction of finding players using our own resources scouting worldwide competition. Sorry if it's not what you're looking for, cheers!

Sime Vrsaljko(DR),Mateo Kovacic(AMC),Ante Vukusic(AMR),Ivan Dzoni(FC),Ivan Lendric(FC)...world class players that you can buy for under 10 mils and also they are all under 20 when you start new game! cheers!

In FM2011, I'm honestly not that sure about FM2012, Ondrej Kusnir of Sparta Prague is nothing short of amazing, and is prepared to move almost anywhere. The chap moved to Hajduk for 675K in my 2011 game. His only problem is that he is injury prone, but with a bit of luck, he'll be fine. Just try to combine him with a classic CF.

In 2012, Tomaš Necid is a decent, cheap buy, and if you combine him with a good crossing winger, and play him up front as a target man, it should be a good combination. That, and Kusnir and Necid are both Czech... If you are going kind of for the unknown, Jelle Vossen should be a cheap, but high quality buy. I think he starts at Genk.

Radja Nainggolan (Cagliari) is another decent buy. He is along the same lines of Nigel de Jong, except he is jonger (ahahaha) and should be a bit cheaper, as well as a bit higher class.

These are all (or, well.. most of them, I have never bought Nainggolan, so I wouldn't know, just had him play for Belgium) very cheap... as in, less than 5 million...

Ante Vukušić, as my mate above me says, is world class... just wait a few seasons for him, and then obviously, if they haven't moved yet, you have Alberto Paloschi and Marco Verratti, and Rogelio Fumes Mori.

Players who I would suggest and why:

Jonjo Shelvey (AMC) - He is a young, talented attacking/central midfielder. He has great passing and dribbling and has a descent long shot and set-pieces. He is a lesser "Gerrard" in a way. He would be of top quality for your side and I'm sure that he will not fail you.
Reccomendation: 8/10

Jack Robinson (DL) - Another Liverpool player. Quality left backs are hard to find in this game but there is one in Jack Robinson. He is the perfect left back for any team. With the ability to be better than Ashley Cole and Eric Abidal, gametime would be needed. He has great mental and physical stats and his technical stats will increase rapidly through game time too.
Reccomendation: 10/10

Robert Mak (AMR) - A very pacey, young(ish), right winger from Slovakia. He is usually available on the cheap and adds alot to your squad. He has good dribbling and finishing stats and will blast past a defender with ease before crossing or scoring.
Reccomendation: 9/10
