Cannot seem to score at the minute!

So I'm in 2016 with Reading, we're in the Premier League this is my second season running (been in it a couple of years before but we were relegated).

I finished 9th last season, before finishing 8th the previous season. I'm only three games in to the new season, but I just can't seem to score in the league! Away to Norwich and I lost 2-0! Just finished a game at home to stoke and lost 1-0, so as you can see I aren't scoring!

I have made a few signings this season - de Jong, Podolski, Adebayor, Ayew, Gervinho and Luis Guilherme. I'm playing 4-2-4 with wingers (seb laarson and gervhino/joseph mills)

Anybody have any suggestions?

Have player roles for strikers set to Poacher. Otherwise just give your strikers a bollocking.

I have Iker Muniain as a poacher and Nilmar as target man or trequartisa! I don't understand Iker Muniain got like 28 goals for me last year in about 36 appearances!

I played a 4-5-1 with striker set as poacher, two seasons running I had the top scorer with Newcastle. First Cisse then Destro.

Why not try that with Podolski lone striker? Adebayor backup

Take a look at your coaching staff, make sure you have a decent coach for attacking and tactics. Or take over the reserves as well and play your strikers to build up their confidence..

Make sure you have staff for attacking, shooting, and ball control at least 4 stars.

Also I would suggest you run a 4-3-3 offense with 3 strikers in the box. Forget about width, the 3 strikers in the box means that your attackers will usually have 1 on 1 opportunities to beat their defender. Trust me you will score a LOT of goals this way! And you can reinforce your defense by moving one of your midfielders to DM position so that you are also solid against the counter.
