Burnley Football Club

So as I noticed Burnley are now without manager Eddie Howe, I decided it would be a good idea to start up with them, see where I can get myself in a few seasons.

Obviously they are in the championship so I'm heading for just one promotion but I hope to get Burnley back in the EPL and then get them fully established too.

I have a starting budget of 750,000 but I've generated quite a good team so I won't be having to do many transfers, though we are lacking in the right back department and right and left midfield.

A quick look then at how I want my team to play. I've gone for a simple 4-4-2 but obviously will train up a tactic which is more defending maybe a 4-1-3-2 or an attacking formation 4-2-4 (with wingers)

I will update shortly with any transfers and outgoings plus pre-season matches and how I got on.

So here are my Pre-Season fixtures.

As you can see we're going pretty well, we've not had much in our way of threat on goal as we've only conceded one in 5 games. We're looking pretty strong in defence but again, none are championship teams. I'm expecting a good match against Deportivo, I think I'll stick with my usual formation to see how we get on, obviously if we don't do well I'll revert to a prepared formation.


Here is Stuart Parnaby who I got on a free. I got quite lucky there though as several clubs such as Celtic and Norwich wanted him! He's just a back up for Kieran Trippier but I suspect he'll be getting a few games and he does have some experience too. Apart from that I've got no one else in as we look pretty solid, though I'm looking to maybe bring in Robbie Blake from Botlon, our strike force is pretty decent with J-ROD and Charlie Austin who is prolific in real life at the minute for Burnley, but I hope it will just booster us a little more.

I'll probably update this from month to month and I don't always have time on my hands so I could end up doing 2 months in one post etc.

If there are any comments or ways to improve I will happily take them.

Thanks! Sometimes he does frustrate me but he's the only good right back I could think of who was free. I didn't want to loan someone who wouldn't play every game as that's not how I work!

So guys, I've just managed to get Robbie Blake back on a season long loan! Hoping that if he doesn't do much he will definitely boost the players and the fans. I think he'll try his hardest and could quite possibly produce at Championship level! We'll see!

I have also just made an offer for Lloyd Sam - 300,000. He's a right midfield and is a tiny bit better than Junior Stanislas but Junior has really been producing in pre-season so he'll be my first choice, just I really do need a back up right midfield! Excited to see this guy.

Burnley 3-0 Deportivo

All in all a brilliant pre-season. 7 games, 6 wins and a draw and only shipping one goal! Couldn't really ask for more.

Robbie Blake from Bolton really produced in his first game, played almost the 90 minutes and scored a goal and 2 assists so I can't complain. Hoping that he can produce big time for us this season to set us on our way! Super sub maybe? Haha.


Just waiting on a contract to be accepted by Sam from Leeds, very confident as he isn't getting any game time apart from Leeds Reserves and he's 28 (no one else is interested)

August

So the season is almost here! Here are my fixtures for August. In some cases I may predict what I think the score is but more often than not I will just let the game decide its self haha!



An ok start for us there, I'm thinking the only team which will pose a major threat is Blackpool obviously as they're a newly relegated club and have a fair amount of money and decent players.

League Cup
Not too bad a draw, Oldham. Hoping to win that one but obviously you can never rule out a shock haha!
