not me....thats for sure.but if i had watched him than maybe i could have realiesed his potential.when ronaldo arrived to man utd i was sure that will be a great player.sporting had a romanian manager and aslo had another romanian player in the team and i was interested to see how wore they doing back then, to watch the romanians and i had the pleasure of seeing CR in action.so if i had watched vidic when he was playing for spartak and redstar maybe i would have answered "yes" to youre question

i did, when they announced we signed vidic i had to look more on his past. and watched what type of player he was.

i didnt know how he would improve because i thought he was really good the way he was before.

but he certainly added things to his play from ferdinand and has grown to become one of the best if not the best defender in the world.

but same thing with evra, i remember people even slating him after a couple of his first matches. and it seemed like most people didnt know him from his time in monaco. he was in the CL final, and damn was he good at monaco.

i knew evra might take time to adjust but he will be an awesome player for us.

with vidic i remember when he started playing he was tough, just what we had missed since the likes of jaap stam. and i knew he would do well.
and he did, i remember him against Arsenal when we won 2-0 he was just brilliant.

but yeh to be honest i didnt expect him to grow like he has as a player. just brilliant to see.
