Having Avatar uploading problems

I keep on uploading an avatar picture, but it does not show up.

Because I know many sites ask for a small picture, I am now on a 100x100px/5.75kb but even like that, it DOES NOT show up.

May I ask why?

Try uploading a picture with dimensions 96x96 please.
