After a couple false starts with clubs I didn't really click with (Nottingham Forest and Charlton). I think I found a good match with Huddersfield, good enough to begin to unfurl the tale of rise from the periphery of the top table to (hopefully) domination of the footballing world...
I wanted to make my mark with the side meaning adding some young and hungry players, though I did miss out on Ignassi Miquel which was disappointing.

Some interesting transfers you have there, looking forward to see where you'll be going with this. In my Liverpool save which ran until 2015/16, Huddersfield got promoted to the Premier League twice and then got relegated twice. Hopefully you'll be more consistent than that :P

I also wielded the axe to the staff, Schmeichel was a must as was Bobby Downes as I wanted someone who had some ability coaching on the technical side of things. Big Nev Hargreaves has came in and was the man who set me onto the trail of Jesse Lingard which in turn see me take a look at Scott Wooten, both of whom have been outstanding since their arrival.

Armed with a squad of mostly hungry youngsters looking to make a mark though with the like of Southern and Manninger to keep them in check.

I went with an attacking 433, my back four shielded by a defensive midfielder in that ever famed Makelele role which is usually Keith Southern. A player who been around the block found his level and will stick to his job

Pre-season went really well, unbeaten and picking up what I consider some massive scalps with the likes Ajax, Genoa and Mallorca leaving Huddersfield with their tails between their legs.

Also beat Walsall in the Capital One cup...

Season started well, 2 wins 2 draws, John Obika making a massive impact in all games

After that we have maintained good form, only faltering against Cardiff and Brighton. Birmingham dumped me out of the cup but I was not really bothered with the competition anyway, the squad were told early doors that the league was priority and bonuses showed that.

After 10 games I was going strong, cant fault the lads really

By the end of September I was pipped to manager of the month by Mackay of Cardiff who had bested me already when our teams met.

But, I was happy to see John Obika get some recognition.

As the transfer window approached I kept my hands in my pockets but I did have a slight panic about a lack of experience and added the loan of Shaun Derry from QPR, not gonna lie, he has hardly been pulling up trees since he joined, been sent off once and struggling to trust him since.

Little update for you all, I did the old over zealous space bar press at the end of a solid win and somehow from that point on my squad just lost the plot so I quit the game as it had autosaved when my team was in disarray...

To pissed off to start another game as Huddersfield now, the dream is over
Good luck with this story man! :)
