BECKHAM ANNOUNCED NEW LEEDS MANAGER


Early this morning the english legend David Beckham was announced as the new Leeds manager. The board decided that they wanted to take a chance and go for the play-offs or even the promotion. David Beckham is a creative man and the squad is respecting him and looking up to him. Lets see if he can bring some positive energy to the squad and fulfill the boards expectations.

Press conference


David Beckham:

''I am very pleased to be here. I bet none had expected this and i gotta say myself that it is an intersting experiment that can both go good or bad. I'm looking forward in meeting the guys in Leeds and i personally like the club and its structure. As i said, this will be a hell of a challenge but i'm going in to it with all i got!''

Beckham announces his joy with the new job

At his arrival at the blub he showed his joy with the new job, and It looks like he is getting a good bond with the board already. This is looking good for the new guy.

The team was really excited at the first team meeting with Beckham in charge

Transfer update


It's clear to see that Beckham have not brought in some big names, or expensive players. In a press conference he said this:

I like to work with what i have already and then if there are some big gaps that needs to be filled out, i fill them out. I think that Leeds is an overall good team and therefor i only had to bring in a couple of players.

Pre-Season and fixtures



Team meeting


David Beckham:

Well done guys! That was a well played pre-season. We managed to stay unbeaten even though we did rotate alot of players so that i was able to see all of you in action. I have to tell you that the starting 11 at the next game is by me capable of beating all of the teams in this league. Now let's go out there and take this league with storm!

Lee Peltier (captain):

Thanks boss! I must admit that i was a bit nervous about the next games but after this i'm more confident than ever. We can do this guys! Go Leeds!

Worst start possible


After the first cup game Beckham was not happy with the situation. The team played a good game but hit the bar and posts 4 times. In the penalty shot-out Green hit the bar on the final shot and finished the game. After the game the medics came up with a terrible statement when telling Beckham that the 1. choice right winger was injured and will be out for 8 months. ''This is going to be harder if it will keep going on like this'' Beckham told ESPN on a press conference

''This is not going the way i was hoping for. We are now at a disappointing 10th place but there is still hope. With a 2-0 win in our last game i think we are starting to show some good form and hopefully we can make our way to the top 5 in the next couple of games. Now i have to go and tell the guys that it is now or never.''
