Well? (15 votes)
I can't seem to be able to stick to my Andriy Shevchenko story/save any longer, because Athletic Bilbao, well, let's just say it's horribly boring being unable to sign anyone who isn't a Basque.

I'm thinking of starting a story with a powerhouse, but I'm not prepared to go for a Manchester club so I've decided to venture out of England & the Premier League.

Currently, I'm playing Barcelona in the challenge 'The Saviour Cometh' and am having a lot of fun, but the chance to take Milan back to the top like Or.dabool did is also rather tempting.

What's your opinion, forum?
Resign and take charge of another Spanish team....the rules are flexible unless you are Bilao Basque....which sounds a little like Bilbo Baggins.

:P

:P

I just took charge of Bilbao and regretted it two days later in-game :/ it would be unrealistic for the story to continue if I quit after two days.
Manage an Indonesian team. I used to have the Indonesian league loaded and it looks like they have some good players.

One lesson I've found out after taking control of various clubs in various saves - is that I can't stick long-term to a save/story if it isn't about a European powerhouse or an almost-powerhouse :P
Manage Inter! Or PSG, Dortmund or Bayern. But Inter would be better.

Not true. I managed Man City and stayed for a while. :P

I am not a fan of the Serie A, but if you ask me, I prefer Milan to Inter ;)

For some reason, I have little to no interest in the Bundesliga. Also, I dislike PSG, Man City-style kind of clubs, so I'd rather not manage them :P

Man City is probably one of the worst managerial positions in FM and the only European powerhouse I'd feel uncomfortable managing, mainly because of their exaggerated budgets and player wages :P

P.S. Notice how I said "I can't stick long-term" instead of "No one can stick long-term". ;)

The only thing I struggle with at City is getting them to play well.

I heard you have trouble selling the overly-paid deadwood because of their wages, though. I experienced that at Queens Park Rangers.

It's great to know you will be reading ;)
I'll be starting a Milan save/story. Watch this space.
I do struggle to get rid of some deadwood, although some of the wages are the only thing stopping the players leaving. For example, I had Santa Cruz on FM12, but didn't want him, so offered him to clubs. No one wanted him for 1.5m, so I started taking the price. I eventually offered him for FREE and no-one wanted him! That's how bad he is.

Meh. I'll still read it though (with reluctance), as your stories are great!

You are reading "Poll: i Rossoneri or Barca?".
