Position Help!

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what to look in a player; as in a striker should have good finshing, position, off the ball, first touch, etc.

Wonder if anyone could add to the example i made or could give me a list of all the positions with there certain attributes.

ano it would be a lenghty message to type but it would b a appricated.

acceleration and pace is useful for a striker, also anticipation, more or less.

also acceleration and pace for wingers, both WM and WB, also good crossing and corners(usually a lateral midfielder takes the corners)

for DM and CM u need positioning, tackling(especially DM), passing and vision for CM(see fabregas)good influence since they are the center of the team, stamina,workload(there is another word for it).

for CD u need good positioning, also decent pace and acceleration so they can cope with fast strikers, tackling, marking, they must be tall and have good heading and jumping ability(over 15), very high phisycal attributes.


at least this is my opinion.these are my standards...

it's not necessary but i always look for strikers with high long shots (and maybe technique) this seems to make them score alot more. Such as when they have a long one on one (if you know what i mean lol) then they seem to score them alot more by shooting from outside the box. Having places shots also seems to help this.
Gignac is a player who has all this and the other stats needed for a striker.

I have always been interested in signing gignac just not got round to it, due to buying other players but i will take your word and try him out =D if hes good u will get a gold star 8)

striker needs: everything
midfielder needs: everything
defender needs: everything
goalkeeper needs: nothing

referee needs: glasses


nah just messing.

seriously though, if youre looking for a player you have to also look that you can handle him. You cant just buy any player, you look at him at what he is good as and see why and where you can use him best. and if he will fit in with the teams tactic and the job you want to give him.

other than that i can say that:

CM: Positioning, passing, off the ball, teamwork, flair(optional), creativity, stamina, technique, dribbling(optional)

AMC: passing, off the ball, flair, creativity, pace, long shots(optional), dribbling, technique

DM: POSITIONING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, passing, technique, teamwork, workrate, stamina, tackling, strength.

wingers: flair, pace, acc, crossing, dribbling, creativity, technique, off the ball.

fullbacks: pace, crossing, tackling, tecnique, off the ball, positioning(optional, depending on your whole back four. stamiina, work rate, long throws

defenders: tackling, heading, positioning, teamwork, technique, strength, concentration

GK: everything

thing is though you have to pick the right players. if you are maybe going to play with a back four and offside trap, then you might want everyone in the back four to have good enough positioning.

many players wont have all of the above, thats why you have to choose the right one for you and your team. and also be able to have different types of players for different occasions.

some players you might just need as a maid. who knows what you really want. =P
