In the month of November we managed to keep 6 clean sheets in 7 games and Nemanja featured in all those games apart from the victory over Redbulls as i fielded a weaker side. He's already amassed 4 MOTM awards in the league and they are well deserved, it seems no matter who he plays with he always puts in a top performance. Long may it continue!

He's currently in the reserves at the moment however im most likely going to loan him out 2nd half of the season to get some first team football under his belt :)

Thanks guys for 1000 reads! Hope you are enjoying the season so far and im sure there will be most twists and dramas ahead so hopefully you'll stick around to see.

Adam Deverell has spoken out in delight after his side secured a perfect group stage following the victory over Ajax in the Champions League. The Manchester United boss said it's tough in any group to get through it with a perfect sweep however he says the real tests will start in February.

Im over the moon with this win as i thought Ajax were the better team, they passed the ball better, got more shots on target however we defended brilliantly and luckily we managed to hold on for the win. Its the first time in our history we've managed to win all our group games in a single season so that's real pleasing, now i look forward to the knockout stage and the draw. Im not bothered who we play as i know on our day we can take on anyone.

Adam Deverell will be a guest on Goals on Sunday this week where he will talk about the season so far and the upcoming Manchester derby.

Your team has enjoyed a fantastic start to the league season, remaining unbeaten all season with 14 wins out of the 16 played. You've had some great results already but what would you say has been the best so far?

It's true we have managed some amazing results already but for me the win at Anfield over Liverpool stands above the rest just for the sheer rivalry between the clubs & the fact we have had some bad results there in the past few seasons.

It was true your team played exceptionally well that afternoon but with the emmergence of Manchester City your neighbours as real title contenders do you consider them to be your biggest rivals now?

For me the Liverpool rivalry will always be our biggest, the rivalry the trophies..im sure if you asked 1000 of our fans what they considered the biggest rivalry to be, 65-70% would say Liverpool im sure. The Manchester derby has become alot more important in recent seasons since there big money takeover where they've been able to challenge for the honors we've been challenging for the past 20 years but i feel the clashes with Liverpool are just that extra bit special.

Just on the subject of City you play them in the league next weekend with your side 9 points clear of them having played 2 games more than your rivals..how do you plan to deal with the likes of Aguero, Tevez & Silva?

They have an amazing squad with some real talented full internationals in there ranks. Obviously we know Carlos well and know exactly how dangerous he can be & assuming he plays in the game we will look to keep him quiet at all costs, but then you can't ignore Sergio, David, Yaya, Vincent all exceptional players. So we know we're in for a real tough game but it's a game in which if we came out of it with all 3 points we could be 12 points clear of them.

Maybe revenge on your mind? haha..

No no we can't afford to think like that in any game let alone this game. They did the double over us last season and yes it hurt but we need to look ahead, we're in a strong position and we know we have to keep up the good performances if we are to maintain our position. Were getting players back also which is always a plus.

Yes you have had some injury problems over the past month or so...how is it looking now?

Valencia still has another month or so to go but Shinji & Scholesy should be back in 2-3 weeks and Nick Powell has just begun full training again. Will Keane is our biggest boost, he was due to be out for the season but incredibly he could start full training again as soon as mid January so yes it is looking alot better.

Okay well good luck for the season ahead and hopefully you can keep the casualty's down (laughs)

(laughs) i sure hope so cheers guys

Manchester City 2 - 1 Manchester United

MOTM:Yaya Toure 8.3

Adam Deverell's Post Match Comments To Geoff Shreeves...
It's disappointing to lose to one of your closest rivals, i don't think we had much control of the game and the way City played made it hard for us to pass the ball around so credit has to go to them.

...

Incredible for the boy, not only has he scored a goal being a goalkeeper he's scored a goal being a keeper at 22 years of age so im sure he will savour that for some time.

...

We've had a good run up to this point, it's our first defeat of the season however we're still top of the table and as everyone knows by now the turn of the year is when Manchester United up a gear or to so let that be a warning to our nearest challengers.
