A Nice Story!

OGC Nice, Let's bring them back to the top!

"On en veut plus! On en veut plus! On en veut plus!" That was all what I've heard after I gave my first speech when getting my new job. Being more inspirational and transpirational than Jason Bolt in the 10 minute speech, I think I won their hearts.

Of Course it was too long ago. The last championship they had won was in 1959. Hell yeah, my father wasn't even born back than. The Beatles weren't there yet, Michael Jackson was born in that season, 2 days before the 3-2 win against Toulouse. That's a freaking long time ago.

But hey, they've got faith in me, so why shouldn't I bring them back to the top? Let them battle with Lyon, Marseille and Paris. I will be the one to restore their honors. I will be the one, who leads them back to success. I will be the one, who will make the rest of the world fear us. I will be the one, who makes OGC Nice a powerhouse! I will be the one, who makes OGC Nice, nice again!

First meeting with the team

Dayum, what a squad. I normally should be able to finish outside the regelationzone with ease. 2 very good goalies is even a waste of money. Enough defenders to help out some other teams, a few midfielder, and 5 strikers. Together with my excellent youths, I should be able to grow a little. The only problem will be that I don't have much youth, or younger players. And most of the youths aren't good enough to even try to get to the first team. And with the 0 transferbudget I've got, I'm gonna need to sell some people.

So, that were a lot of transfers. Both in and out. While we paid all our transfers of 48 months (which needs I need to look out for the balance), I got all my fees upfront. And we did a lot of transfers.

A new manager on the block

New OGC Nice manager Michael de la Parra is appeared to be liking his new fans with the transfers made this summer. Plus, many of the fans agree that some of the players that he sold were not needed. One of the most high-profile signings he did was exciting new prospect Kurt Zouma. It has been known that he will lead the line of his national team, France in a couple of years. Then, he signed Verratti from Pescara with a fee of 3 million euros payed. It is known that the fans are going crazy over this transfer. This player is touted to be the next Andrea Pirlo, and the fans look at his 3 million euros fee and hail manager Michael de la Parra for this good piece of transfer. Yet, the fans are drooling to see all of the players in a OGC Nice shirt. Few fans are worried about their club's finances, but their new manager calmed them with his targets. His aims for the league are top of the table, securing at-least Europa League. Then, if he could, he'd get some silverware to Nice, but told his fans that his aims are at least Quarter Finals in the Coupe de Ligue. ALL HAIL MICHAEL DE LA PARRA!

Pre-Season

We had a pretty average Pre-season:

Gossau 1-0 win
Darmstadt 2-0 win
Estoril 1-1 draw
Man United 1-2 loss
Gladback 2-0 win
Willem II 7-0 win

Only losing to Manchester united isn't bad, and gives lots of hopes for the future. Let the League begin.

Nice job there Micheal. Niang and Traore look like great signings and Pogba will hopefully provide some great depth while on loan.
