Santa Clara made no transfers in or out during the winter transfer window. While Kaiser wanted to move some players during the summer transfer window, there were no takers, and with Santa Clara doing so well in the Second League, Kaiser saw no reason to rock the boat.

Despite leading Santa Clara to a 6th place finish in the Portuguese Second League, Jack Kaiser decided not to renew his contract with Santa Clara and is seeking greener pastures. Kaiser is said to be grateful to Santa Clara for giving him his first managerial job, but he wants to leave Portugal and he thinks he can get a better job.
