"And we have now an update on the retired Boca star, Franco Canniggia. Sources report he will begin his coaching career with Colombian team, Atlético Junior. It is said Canniggia, joined by his agent, have now agreed a deal with the club’s president, Wilson Ramirez. Canniggia and Ramirez signed a contract for the duration of this year, meaning that he has some work to do if he plans to stay and successfully begin his Managerial career. We take you now to Barranquilla, where Canniggia will be offering a short press conference to share some thoughts in this new football stage and answer any doubts that could arise.”

FC: “Good afternoon everyone, let me take the chance to thank everyone for their kind comments during the last few days. I will now be responding to a few questions to clear out any doubts during this process.”
Journalist (Central Fox): “Franco, let me please be the first to congratulate you on signing with Junior and wish you luck in the beginning of this new stage. To begin, I’d like to ask you about the current squad? Have you sat down with your staff and think about possible signings?”
FC: “Thank you very much. Well, we’ve been pretty busy since this morning taking a look at the team and potential new players we would like to take in. But it’s too early to tell, I’ve only been Managing this team for 6 hours only. You can be sure we’ll be informing important announcements.”
Journalist (FutbolRed): “You will be possibly bringing new players, but what about the staff? Will you be looking for fresh new management or keep “the old administration”?
FC: “I will hopefully be negotiating this part with the President. The team has great coaches, with great reputation, but to build a better and active team we need to bring some more help. I intend to be behind every issue that may arise, but I know that the Head Coach can’t be the sole responsible of the team’s future. We need to specialize our abilities and I know that bringing more football “technicians” and “engineers” will ease our path towards attractive and dynamic football.”
Journalist (Antena 1): “Franco, what can we expect from you in this new stage of your life? Football-wise and in a personal manner?”
FC: “Thank you for that question. I’m asking for patience first. A team is never built in a couple of days, we need to remain patient but without losing hope. Every fan can expect the best effort and attitude from me and my staff during this year that will start. We want to begin next month physically and mentally prepared. We can have a great squad but without the right interaction and chemistry in the field you can’t expect anything worthy of this sport. In some journeys there comes sacrifice and reward, but it is up to the players, staff, and myself included to test ourselves and decide whether this team can be built to a continental reputation or stay in mediocrity. Thank you very much.”
