Alleen Gezamenlijk Oefenen Voert Verder (Only Practising Together Brings us Further) is a Dutch club based in Apeldoorn, Netherlands and are currently playing in the Juliper League which offers promotion to Erevedise, the top tier in Dutch football.

They have had little success in silverware, only winning 1 competition, the league they currently reside in, around 50 years ago.

Last season, they barley survived the drop, finishing in 17th place. Their squad is thin and money is in small supply, meaning that success seems unlikely.
looks really interesting :) good luck with this :D

Ulderink leaves AGOVV 23/6/12

Last night AGOVV chairman, Victor Doorn released an announcement to the footballing world that Andries Ulderink, manager, had formally resigned from his role a year before the expiry of his contract. Doorn told media of who it came to pass.
"Andries and I have been discussing the matter for a while, and after last season's failure, it looked like he just wasn't the man for the job."
Doorn assured press that he thought Ulderink a good manager, but admitted he was not suited to taking control of AGOVV.

"He's a great manager, just, I think he could do better elsewhere. I was giving him the option of continuing on, as I had belief that he could still work the team, but he opted out, he told me that a fresh manager would be the best for the club. He said that it would bring enthusiasm to the players, and I think he is right. He signed his resignation and bid us farewell. I and all of the staff at De Blauwen wish him luck."

Ulderink was seen saying his goodbyes at the training stadium this morning, where a member of press caught a quick word. When asked about his departure and his plans for the future, he responded positively.

"I didn't do as well as I should have at AGOVV, but it's not the past that will hold them back now. I am hoping they can get a fresh new manager that will improve morale. They're capable of a playoff spot, and I think if they work they can achieve it. As for me, I am going to take a break for a while, but if I get approached by a decent club, I'd find it hard to reject."

Sky Bet Provided the following odds on next manager for De Blauwen:

The two most likely candidates are Vojtech Schulmeister, current first-team striker and captain of AGOVV and Alfons Arts, current manager of SC Cambuur, a fellow Jupiler League club. Other plausible contenders are Marcelo Salamanca, recently retired Spanish International who has not ventured in to management yet, and Jurrie Koolhof, who has managed AGOVV in the past.
Doorn, is expected to announce the new boss in the coming days.
Good luck with this, will be following!
Thank you two :)

Salamanca appointed as AGOVV boss 26/6/12

This morning, ex-Spanish International Marcelo Salamanca was appointed as manager for AGOVV. Rumors sparked of his appointment when he was spotted in Apeldoorn hours after the departure of Ulderink, though many were skeptical as the Spaniard has never ventured in to management, only coaching since his early retirement at the age of 27 after a serious injury to his shin.

Salamanca and Chairman, Victor Doorn assembled for the press in early afternoon to answer any questions that awaited them and reveal the details of the contract.

"Hello everyone, I'd just like to give you all the chance to speak with I and Mr. Salamanca about his new job, and give out a few details on it. I and the backroom staff, as well as the squad, have already had the chance to greet him this morning, and they are relatively familiar. On the subject of his contract, it will last a year, and will be renewed depending on if he has met his private targets or not. Questions?"

"Mr. Salamanca, what brought you to this Job, and what are your targets?"

"Hello everyone. First of all, the club attracted me as I believe it has a lot of potential that it just hasn't shown yet. Also, I have experience in Holland after my playing career and I know the market a little better than I do in other countries, besides Spain. My personal target is to achieve promotion within the next couple of seasons, but I have not planned beyond that yet, who knows."

"I see. Your squad is quite thin, meaning it can be easily shaped to your liking, do you plan to change the setup much, and in what way?"

"I wouldn't me much of a manager if I made no changes, would I? Yes, is the answer to that question, though. I plan to alter the formation and use the low numbers in the team to my advantage, purchasing a couple of new faces that will fill in the new positions. Of course, I do not have accurate plans yet, but I can reveal I will be trying to play the team wider with a forceful attack but a sensible defence."

"Exactly how many faces will you pull in, and will they all be bought for the first team?"

"Certainly not. I'm definitely looking in to buying a couple of youngsters that will play first-team one day as well as some bigger names. It remains to be seen in what supply I'll need to patch up the starting eleven, I think I'll have a more accurate idea after training."

"Even though your target is promotion, are cups on the cards?"

"Well, it's not unheard of for a second division side to earn silverware, and I think AGOVV is a team that needs to fill up their trophy case. If we get a chance, I will take it and be serious about it."

The press conference continued for a while longer before Salamanca and Doorn returned to the training ground, Salamanca saluting the press before the doors closed behind him.
