Welsh Newgens

My question is whilst playing as an ENGLISH team, has anyone else seen any good WELSH newgens ? Obviously you have teams like Swansea, Cardiff, etc who are welsh based but play in the english league, and in my game they only seem to get English newgens.

Im in my 3rd season at Newcastle and ive yet to see any decent Welsh, Scottish and Irish newgens.

Only the teams who play in the welsh leagues seem to get Welsh newgens in my game, with the exception of the odd one here and there that pops up at like Man Utd or Chelsea.

However i would have thought that the likes of Swansea and Cardiff being based in wales would get more welsh newgens as i thought the newgens and recruitment network worked by finding local players, so therefore swansea and cardiff being WELSH they would attract more welsh players than english.

I have the welsh premierleague running in the background of my english game.

Thoughts ?

In real life, there are probably a lot of people who are part-English and part-Welsh. Now, if you were a 180 PA regen who was eligible for both, who would you declare for? England obviously, as they are the better team. So chances are you probably have seen good Welsh, Irish and Scottish regens, but they are also eligible for England, so they declare for them and essentially become English

yeah good point blue, ill check that out, but ive just re-ran the newgens to test a theory and now swansea is only producing welsh lads so that feeds my theory that the country of where your club is based is where your newgens come from (in the case of the welsh teams playing in england).

ok, so ive been running a few more tests though, and i think ive noticed the pattern now. I have a Brazilian feeder club (for finding brazilian youth players) and a Belgian feeder (for work permits), ive ran the newgen day a couple of times now and 2 times out of 7 i have got belgian and brazilians in my youth team. So now im thinking if i get scottish and welsh feeder clubs i have a better chance of getting those nationality players through my newgen induction. Plus as my facilities are better than cardiff or swanseas im sure i may produce some decent welsh lads.

Then again, I'm Sporting Lisbon, and I got a Scottish regen

out of curiosity, do you have a scottish feeder club Blue ? Any scottish players or staff (including you) ?

Come to think of it, yes, I do have a Scottish scout. My manager is German, and I got a German regen too.
