Is it possible to host the Champions league final on your Clubs Homeground?

I'm playing with arsenal and i was wondering if it's possible to host the Champions league final on your Clubs Home-ground?

as in real life im pretty sure the "hosting stadium" is picked in advance by random selection based on stadium capacity and condition. so yes, i suppose its possible the emirates could host it but i think if you upgraded it more your chances would increase.

Rob, I thought clubs (or the owners of stadiums) applied, and then UEFA decided who would be the most suitable or best from the applications?

hmmm, not sure about that. TBH, ive always played as Newcastle on previous FM versions and out of around 50+ seasons ive only ever managed to get St James Park as the champions league final host ONCE and it just came up as that was the venue, no option beforehand.

I personally think its random, but the random selection will obviously go off a select criteria, im thinking seating numbers would be one and taking into account the average attendance for champions league finals for the last 13 years is around 68,000, i think its fair to say your stadium would need to have around that number of seats (although Hampden Park hosted it in 2001-2002 season and had 52,000 attendance).

stadium + pitch condition + reputation would also play a huge part in the process. Look at the amount of times that Wembley Stadium gets picked to host the final, all because of its reputation. (Yes, stadia have reputation too)

But, then again, I've seen some stadium in Norway get it. Capacity 35000. Lost a CL Final there... damned cold weather Norweigens.

As i said, im prettu sure its random, but the randomness can be affected by all the factors mentioned above. It may even be that the country also has a factor, i.e. therefore the final can be hosted in different countries rather than just England, Germany, Spain, Italy, France where all the big european stadiums are.
