For many years I have been curious to watch my local team Havant and Waterlooville. Sometimes I will drive past the stadium which may not be big but the atmosphere at Westleigh Park makes the hair stand on the back of your neck. I may be a Leeds United fan but I still love watching my local team play. Last Season (2011-2012) they had a torrid time in the Blue Square South they finished 19th a point above the relegation places. But previous seasons they have gone on good FA-Cup runs and finshed in the play-offs or just outside the play-offs. As a local guy I dream to manage my local football club and bring success to them and some silverwear.
Sounds good! Havant to the Premier League ;) Will be following.
Today was good day for me. I was listing to the local radios non league show and just heard that Havant and Waterlooville have sacked current manger Stuart Ritchie he was sacked becuase they belived he was not the right choice for the club despite playing for them when the club was founded. The chairman at Havant and Waterloovile was on the radio and announced his shortlist on the radio. Dennis Wise, Shuan Gale, Lee Bradbury, Phil Brown, Ian Bird and Gerry Armstrong. I immediately thought I could apply to the Job. So I talked it through with my family at the dinner table and they had encouraged and motivated me to go for the job at Westleigh Park.
So the next day I got up nice and early the next morning. You will never guess what woke me up it was the smell of a nice fully cooked english breakfast just how I like but before I forget the dog woke me up by barking for its morning walk to park past Westleigh Park. When I got back from walking the dog I decied to email Havant and Waterlooville and tell them I was intrested in taking over. I got a quick email back saying your are invited to an interview the next morning.
So I arrived at Westleigh Park the next day for my interveiw I was quite nervous about the Job. I was waiting outside the chairmans office when he said "Mr Walker, this way please."
The Interveiw:
Chairman: Hello Andrew, please take a seat.
Myself: Thank you.
Chairman: Tell me what football team do you support?
Myself: I am a long time Leeds United fan *smiles*
Chairman: *Chuckles*
Chairman: Where do you want this club to be in the next five years?
Myself: I would love to have this club somewere stable for example the Blue Square Premier fighting for promotion to the football league.
Chairman: Well said, Do you belive this club can get promoted anytime soon?
Myself: Well yes if I bring in the right type of players I dont see wht not.
Chairman: I will ring you or email you if you have the job. Thanks for turning up today.
Myself: My plesure.
Good news guys I got the Job. The chairman rang me up after an hour and said I have got it and he cant wait for my era to start. So me and my family went out for a meal to celbrate. I had a very nice curry. So the next few days before training I was buzzing.
So I arrived at trainning. We only train once a week at the ground.
The trainning schedule

7.30pm: Warm up

Pre Season Results
Corinthian-Casuals 1:3 Havant and Waterlooville
Abingdon United 0:3 Havant and Waterlooville
Havant and Waterlooville 0:1 Portsmouth FC
Ashford Middlesex 1:4 Havant and Waterlooville

Pre Season Verdict:
I feel these pre season results are very good, the Portsmouth game really impressed me. Now I hope we can get a collection of good results in the leauge.
Havant and Waterlooville have announced there first signing joey collewijn. He is an young American striker. He may make his debute on the first leauge game of the season. Manger Andrew Walker this "Joey has joint us non contract terms which means he may be with us unitil Xmas or the end of the season."
Joey Collewijn said to the Non League paper about his opportunity to play football for Havant and Waterlovile is a good factor in his career which is helping him develop as a footballer. He said this "Andrew is one of the nicest guys in football despite he puts us through our paces on training nights and makes us knackered. He also has a great sense of humour which puts a smile on my face."
We now have two tough games coming up former Blue Square Premier away at Twerton Park which will be tough to get three points. Havant and Waterlooville also announced that the local coach company will be taking around 75 Havant and Waterlooville fans to Twerton Park plus fans traveling by car, minibus and train. The second tough game is against local rivals Eastleigh FC at Westleigh Park. Also the club has agreed on a ticket deal which sees a season ticket holder can bring a friend for free.
let's get behind those hawks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looks like you've actually been able to stick to a story for once :P
