Problems signing Youngster Regens

I'm not sure if I'm the only one experiencing this kind of problem. Now, on my Arsenal save, I checked the regen dates and sent my scouts to do their job during those dates. They come back with the regens and, naturally, you can "approach to sign" those youngsters because they are only on youth contract.

So, we go into contract negotiation, I give them offers that they quickly accepted. Now, here comes the problem. Every time I do that, a few days later, I will get a message that the youngster has signed a pre-contract deal with the team he is currently on. I mean, come on, I'm Arsenal, and the other club is RC Lens and I offered a better contract which the player actually accepted.

I don't know if this is a bug but I've tried signing at least 4 players and everyone of them accepted the offer but a few days later, they all sign pre-contract deals with their current clubs with lower reputation.

Maybe they don't want to leave their home country at their age? I mean, don't forget, footballers are still real people, and have to do what's best for them.

That's a possible explanation. But the thing is, whenever I "approach to sign" they accept the offer. And actually before that, my scouts say that they are extremely interested in joining the club. And then a few days after, I receive a message that they have accepted a pre-contract offer from their own club.

I had this a few days ago with one of my regens who I had at Sporting Lisbon, but I tried to sign for United when I moved. He accepted the offer, but signed a deal with Sporting. Just because he accepts the contract doesn't mean he's signed.

i actually reported this as a bug to Sports Interactive a month or so ago and they said they would investigate it but they confirmed signing youth wasnt working as intended.

HOWEVER, they did say that as with all players the players personality also comes into play as well as their desire to move to a country at such a young age where they cant speak the language.

I find that if you Talk to the Press 1-2 times before you make an offer (you will have to do it immmediately when they are generated), this will make the player more "aware" of you, and i find this tends to yield much better results. Also if you praise a player to the press and they respond negatively, chances are they wont sign for you, so this therefore may shed a bit more light as to why they favour their own team rather than yours.
