News has just been released that Sporting Rushden Utd will be making their debut against their reserves team, in just one days time at the home ground of their reserves (CenturyLink Park). It's a game where we'll get to see how the starting line-up fares against a reserves team, which will be hungry to prove their worth to the manager before they commence their first ever season.
PROJECTED LINE-UP FOR RESERVES TEAM:

RB: Billy Shaw
CB: David Keene (IRL)
CB: George Franco (GRE)
LB: Mat Clark
RM: Elliot Moore
CM: Shawn Daicos

ST: Alex Burks (USA)
SCORE PREDICTIONS: SRU 3-1 RESERVES.
HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE GAME.
13’ Evans manages to break free from his man, and fire in a low shot from fifteen yards out, but it is saved (0-0)
18’ GOAL! Abdul-Lopez fires in a cross from the left wing, which deflects off the head of Franco, right into the path of an on-coming Camby who fires the eleven yard shot off the crossbar, only for the ball to bounce right back to him thus allowing a simple volleyed goal from eight yards. (1-0 SRU)
26’ YELLOW CARD: Shaw receives a yellow for a push on Spikes in mid-field.
30’ Burks does a one-two with McCauthor to find space and cracks a shot from twenty yards out, only for it to go over the crossbar. (1-0)
36’ A cheeky little flick on from a free kick by Spikes, frees up the running Lopes, who through-balls it to Blake who fires the ball narrowly wide from eighteen yards.
HALFTIME: 1-0 SRU.
53' Franco's corner is narrowly headed wide of the goal by Clark, in what had looked like a promising chance for the reserves.
58' Evans is subbed OFF for Illsho.
64' Spikes has his opportunity from sixteen yards out saved by the keeper, after beating three defenders with a solid run.
67' Burks subbed OFF for Nicky George by the reserves
72' George's eight foot volley is blocked by Lopes, with SRU able to clear it via Drummund. A scrappy play led to the chance.
76' Camby fires a eleven yard shot over the crossbar, in what was a disappointing end to a promising play for a second SRU goal.
82' RED CARD: Spikes is sent off for violent conduct after a two-footed lunge at Daicos, which causes Daicos to be subbed OFF for Kieran Thompson.
SRU take the chance to shift Camby into the CAM role and sub OFF Lopes for Evans.
83' Thompson's shot from twenty-one yards is saved by the keeper, set up by the free kick taken by Shaw.
88' Illsho manages to slot a nine yard left-footed shot into the back of the net, with the assist by Camby (2-0 SRU)
90 + 1' Camby's fifteen foot right-footed shot is slammed into the back of the net, after an error by Thompson allowed camby the space to score (3-0 SRU)
FINAL SCORE: SRU 3-0 RESERVES.
MoM: Camby (9.7) 2 goals, 1 assist.
SPORTING RUSHDEN UNITED CRUSH HYDE.
In SRU's second friendly of the pre-season, they managed to dominate Hyde 4-0 in their friendly at Ewen Field. The star of the show was of course, DeMarcus Camby who managed to score a hat-trick before assisting on the fourth goal which was Scored by Laurence Spikes. After the match, Ronald Stone released a statement in which he said he was "very pleased" the team got the win and that this would hopefully boost confidence and morale within the squad as they continue to prepare for the season.
TWO SIGNINGS CONFIRMED
SRU have managed to bring in two new signings, both of whom they hope will help the team out in their quest for success this season. They managed to gain Alan Tate from Swansea for $2.2 million and then Clinton Morrison for $750,000 from Colchester. It's hoped that both men can have an impact on this season for Rushden.
Ronald Stone's life (Part I)
It's never easy being a manager in a foreign country, especially when the team you're managing is brand new and in their first ever season. Some people say there's no pressure to succeed right away, but those people have never been in a cut-throat job like managing a soccer (football) team. If they have been, then they would know that managing a club is a very high-pressure job, right from the first day you step through those gates after accepting the job. Especially having to deal with the media, who only add to the pressure you are put under when you are trying to settle down and get the club focused on the task at hand.
That's why I go into a job like this, trying to think of the best way to maintain performance and use the time I have at home, to relax with my wife and child so that I have a stress release so to speak. It's harder than most people think those and something that shouldn't be taken for granted. I'm prepared though and know what it'll take, to make this team into one of the best in the world.
Good start mate

maybe put some pictures in though?
