The Project

1860 Munich have mainly been shadowed by their rivals Bayern for most of their history. I tend to change that. The team share the Alianz Arena with Bayern but I intend after a few seasons to build out own and become a self-sustained club. I want to make the club better and more successful than Bayern. I know how hard it is going to be but the squad looks good. I want to be promoted within 2 seasons and possibly in Europe within 4-5 seasons. I think when we beat Bayern for the first time then that will signal a change in dominance.

Who am I

Well I am being myself, Matt Wells a former semi-pro footballer who played for local club Midway from u8 level to the senior team and I was then asked to sign for a bigger local club, Gresley Rovers. When the club was liquidated I was released as they started Gresley Fc. I had always intended to gain my coaching badges so I went and spent 4 years gaining them and now all I needed was a job…..

Coach Alexander Schmidt has been sacked as manager of 1860 Munich after an apparent disagreement with the boad members. 1860 Munich have responded quickly in the best interests of the club and have appointed a new manager who will be unveiled later today.

Wow. I was actually a manager of a top club. 1860 has not had the best of times in the past few years but it has a capability to be the best and I believe I can deliver that dream to them.
It was now time to meet the players. I set foot onto the training pitch for the first time and they all looked really up for it.
“Look lads, we can be the best in the world if we just work hard and get results. But that is a long way away and now we need to work the hardest we can and all work as team then we will be able to win games and get back in the top flight”.

“YES CMMMMMOOOONNNN” reply the team.
Great start, will be following. Notice in the banner that the background is the Allianz Arena when it is blue.
