Hi guys. I have played fm for several years and i want to try something different instead of only taking charge of the big teams. I started as unemployed and within one month i was offered a job at german league 2nd division with 1860 MUNCHEN which i accepted. Here's the advise i need please:

1. Only 200K available for transfer
2. Only 2 coaches available and maximum allowed is 4.
3. board wants me to achieve a respectable league position but obviously i want to try get promotion

I want to go on a long run and build this team and move on to bigger clubs should i get success here. Anyway what should i do to the team first in order to start building?? dip my toes in transfer market and look for young players?? or experienced? but budget isn't there...or invest in coaches and reorganize training?? also strugling with paying wages to good coaches...

what do you guys do when building a small teams? help would be appreciated.

thanks
swadeep
Look for Loans for the first divison teams in Germany, try to get youngsters with a low wage as your more likely to get the budget down. Also maybe get an experienced free-agent (look for attributes primarily (but I sometimes include looking for people experienced in that country))to mix in with the youthful loans.

I am currently doing the same, same team as well

Just won champions league were are 5 years in, i only got the job at 1860 mid way through first season

My advice is sort the defense out, schindler is a GOD, If you dont swap the back 4 every 10 mins they work better personally.

keep an eye open for free players, i got some people in that were amazing, also loans if you have a kid that will be good or if you need cover, a lot of the time they will save you buying a player and the wages too.

Personally i go with youth(average age of team being 20 now).
