This is going to be a bit of a relief save for me when I'm not doing my chorley save. My main thing on this save will be giving youth a chance. First update should be a bit later. Hope you all like it!

Credit to WeAreFev for the title and Edam22 For suggesting Southampton!
It's my pleasure ;) Good luck and prove that you can make Saints the best :)
BREAKING NEWS

POCHETTINO LEAVES SOUTHAMPTON.

Southampton this morning have confirmed that Mauricio Pochettino has left the club by mutual consent. Reports are suggesting that his clear lack of the English language has taken its toll and thought the position at the club was untenable. A statement from Southampton reads:
'Southampton Football Club can confirm at 7:13 this morning, Mauricio Pochettino handed in his resignation, In this he stated that the thanks the fans for making his time so enjoyable on the south coast but he is homesick prompting a return to Argentina. He also went on to say he wishes whoever takes over does a good job and carries on the legacy he has left behind.'
The bookies are already out on who will take over, with ex-footballer Matthew Sellers favourite to take over with odds of 2-1 with Paddy Power stopping bets being placed on Sellers, a one time loanee at Southampton during their days at the Dell.
Nice start so far mate :)
Cheers Joe :)

Matthew Sellers has his first proper job in management. The 37 year old has already taken to twitter to express his delights, and tell fans that he is going to keep Southampton up and take them forward. In a further tweet, he has stated that there will be no drastic changes in terms of the playing staff. Some fans however are distained to have a rookie boss in charge. A proper press conference has been confirmed and will take place within the next hour.
Nice mate :), I'm sure you will lead them to glory :)

Press Conference

Dave Smith: Hi Matty, Dave Smith, BBC Hampshire Sports Correspondent, Do consider yourself lucky to be at a club like this considering your lack of experiance
Matty Sellers: Hi Dave, In regards to your question, I may have no experience of management, however everyone starts somewhere, for example do you think Sir Alex was expected to succeed with Aberdeen when he first went there?

Martin Samuels: Hi, Martin Samuels, The Daily Mail, What will your transfers be like? Age and Experience to keep you up or will you look to the future and go for youth?

MS: I will use a large chunk of my budget on younger players but if a quality player comes up that will improve the side then I will consider that individual.

Spencer Jones: Spencer Jones, Radio 5live, What style of play will you implement, tactics and so on?

MS: It obviously changes on a game by game basis. I do prefer the ball on the ground but there is no use playing like that against a side like Stoke on a wet Tuesday night is there?

Press Officer: This conference is over, Matty will no longer answer questions, Thank you for your attendance.

The Team.

Misssing the goalkeepers as there isn't enough room for them so Artur Boruc and Kelvin Davis aswell. Only two players in, I'll cover full changes in half an hour or ao..

Changes and Friendlies

Not many in, spent more than I wanted aswell, They both will be good additions for the future though.

Got rid of the deadwood staff and brought in some determined coaches instead with at least one good coaching stat.

A good pre-season, looking forward to Newcastle now.

If anyone is interested in the tactics or anything, just say and I'll load up an image.
Nice start: Will Hughes <3
A good solid start to the story. Keep it up.

Shocking results really. Improvement is needed and drastically, anyway here's a tiny breakdown of all the games:

Newcastle 1-0 Southampton
Coloccini 82"

To be honest we deserved to win but sloppy defending at a corner and all our hard work was undone.

Southampton 0-4 Chelsea
Ba 2" Ivanovic 28" Terry 58" Mata 64"

Utter dreadful performance, It could have been so much worse if it wasn't for Boruc. He played so well in front of a back line that could be beaten by a League 2 side, that he even got recognised in the team of the week. Maya Yoshida had a shocker, gifting 2 goals and getting injured. Just wasn't his day.

Southampton 1-0 Preston (AET)

Ricky Lambert came on after his injury layoff and got us the winner and subsequently got us out of jail. We need to improve and fast..
Unlucky with the results so far, the team will definitely get better as the season goes on :P
