Overall this is a disappointing month. McKay has showed good form for us but the defeat to Forest in the local derby has really but a dent in my job status, which is now insecure. Hopefully we can find the right tactic and propel us up the table.

Some really bad results, but you did well to beat Boro :)
And don't worry, they won't sack you :)
That's an unfortunate month. It always take me a while to settle at a new club at get results, hopefully you can pick up some wins in December.

December Results

Derby 0-1 Hull

Bristol City 1-2 Derby (Davies, McKay)

Derby 0-2 Wolves

Derby 4-0 Barnsley (Coutts, Bryson, McKay x2)

Derby 2-0 Sheffield Wednesday (McKay, Ward)

Charlton 2-0 Derby

Derby 1-5 Millwall (Davies)

Monthly Review

Overall i am pleased with this month. The defeat to Millwall was just crushing as it was a heavy defeat but i'm getting a new signing in January so hopefully he will help us with our crisis. The league table is not changing and we face getting relegated if we do not improve. As i missed them off to see my position in the table, Charlton are top and Hull are second.

Derby Announce New Signing

Derby have completed the signing of former Chelsea goalkeeper Hilario. The 37 year old has joined on a free transfer after he was released by Chelsea, and the transfer was agreed in December. He will be given a run in the first team after Frankie Fielding's poor form all season.

Derby 3-0 Blackburn (Ward x3)

Derby 0-0 Peterborough

Blackpool 0-0 Derby

Derby 3-3 Man City (Bryson x2,Adan o.g)

Montly Review

This has got to be our best month, unbeaten in all competitions means our chances of survival are increasing. Hendirck’s goal against Bristol City was amazing, ball came to him outside the box and he volleyed it into the top corner. I think I could use with one or two players but the team is finally coming together. We scored a last minute winner against City but then conceded a late equalizer straight after we went on the attack.
Class month. Looking very good to stay up now.

Fowler Brings In Extra Man

Derby County have today announced the signing of 19 year old left back Jack Robinson on a 3 month loan from Liverpool. Fowler today said, "He has bags of potential to go far in football and be a future star for England. He is a great addition to the side in our attempt to beat the drop.

February Results

Cardiff 2-1 Derby (Davies)

Derby 3-0 Burnley (Gjokaj, Davies, McKay)

Man City 3-1 Derby (Ward)

Leicester 1-1 Derby (McKay)

Derby 2-1 Leeds (Coutts, McKay)

Monthly Review

A good month, but we should have got a point against Cardiff. We took the lead against city in the 2nd minute of extra time, but 3 minutes later we were 2-1 down. Conceding the late goal against Leicester was heartbreaking especially as it was a midlands derby. The picture of the table has been taken one game into the next month due to my error.

March Results

Brighton 3-1 Derby (Gjokaj)

Birmingham 0-2 Derby (McKay, Mido)

Derby 2-1 Crystal Palace (Coutts, McKay)

Derby 1-3 Nottingham Forest (Coutts)

Middlesbrough 0-0 Derby

Monthly Review

On the summary, it was a good month apart from the shock of losing 3-1 in the midland derby, but it is good to see that Mido has managed to end his goal drought. We are rising the table and now have an even better chance of survival.

April And May Results

Watford 1-1 Derby (Coutts)

Derby 1-1 Huddersfield (Meite)

Derby 2-0 Ipswich (McKay, Ward)

Hull 3-1 Derby (Bryson)

Derby 1-2 Bristol City (McKay)

Wolves 3-2 Derby (Bryson, McKay)

Barnsley 3-0 Derby

Monthly Review

Got to be the worst month in charge at the club. One win, two draws and the rest are defeats. We still managed to beat the drop which is the only positive.

End Of Season Review

Guiding the side out of the relegation places and into 17th was the highlight of the season for me. All players did well, with Billy McKay our top scorer with 16 league goals, our player with most assists was youngster Will Hughes with 7 assists. Frankie Fielding had the most clean sheets with 11, leaving his record for other games conceding 60 goals in 26 games. Craig Bryson, Ben Davies, Mido and Jeff Hendricks were constant performers, when if they were not getting goals or assists, they were major contributors towards the team performance. Fowler On The Move!

Sunderland have today confirmed they are delighted to announce 38 year old Robbie Fowler as the clubs new manager. Fowler has left his current post at Derby to takeover at the black cats, despite the fact they will be playing championship football next season following relegation. It has come as a surprise to some football fans but the Derby board and fans are reportedly delighted that Fowler has left after failing to help the club charge up the table even though he kept them up. Fowler has said he will attempt to get Sunderland back to the premier league as soon as possible and will leave at anytime if the board feel he is under-achieving.
Yet another move! Sunderland are a big club and hopefully you can get them back into the Prem, from there who knows? :) Great to see your success at HF and Derby pay dividends :)
