That's true I suppose. ;)

Haha true enough about the money but I hope I don't miss him too much on the pitch. In his short time here he has already proved a valuable asset to me.
Unlucky about that injury :( but good luck for the season :)

We’ll it’s been another solid month with lots of highs and lows that leaves us in a very respectable 8th position in the league (wouldn’t it be great if the season ended now!)

At first glance some might say our 3-2 defeat at the hands of Chelsea was probably deserved but in truth we played an excellent game and we were very, very unlucky to lose. We conceded a very dubious 94th minute penalty and it was heartbreaking to watch Fernando Torres slot it away, I felt so sorry for the players as they put everything into the game and came away with zero points.

However the Chelsea result must have done something to the lads as our next game saw us visit Villa Park, which is never an easy place to go to at the best of times. We won 3-1 but it could have been so much more, we hit the post twice, the crossbar once and had two goals wrongly disallowed. It was an outstanding performance and one that gives me a lot of confidence for the rest of the season.

I’m also delighted to be saying yet again that Will Hughes has picked up the Young Player of the Month award, there’s not a lot I can say that I haven’t already said about this lad, I’m just thrilled that he is performing so well for Burnley and now for England as well.

I’m glad we picked up the points we did this month, as our three league games in October see us play Manchester Utd, Liverpool and Tottenham. It should be an interesting month – stay tuned…
Great start to the season Michael. Good luck in a push to European places

Hadn't even considered pushing for Europe tbh! Don't think my squad is ready yet and I would be happy to finish anywhere around midtable. :)

This month has all been about Charlie Austin – the prolific goal scorer has scored 6 goals in just 4 games and helped us achieve a famous victory over the mighty Manchester Utd at Turf Moor.

No one gave us a chance going into the game, all the talk before hand was about how Man U where going to wipe the floor with us, but step forward Charlie Austin. Never in my life I have seen an individual performance such as his. He won every ball, never gave their defence a second to think and scored three cracking goals, if this doesn’t earn him recognition for the England squad then what will?

Our away trip to Liverpool was forgettable, we were battered from the first minute until the last, outclassed and outplayed. However our trip to Tottenham could have been so much more – from being 2-0 down we scraped it back to 2-2 but it was a late Steven Caulker goal that gave Spurs the victory, which in truth they probably deserved.

It’s also pleasing to note that we’re finally into a cup quarter final after beating Derby County 3-2, we play West Brom at home in the next round and I really hope for the fans sake we can progress and bring a bit of excitement back to the town of Burnley.

CHARLIE AUSTIN FTW

You'll never see so much coding on one line.
I think you just jinxed him – he’s just got injured for 3-4 weeks. :P
Some ups and downs but generally, first class mate, keep going.
