Tactic for a seriously underpowered squad

I'm doing the San Marino challenge, and have just achieved back to back promotions to reach Serie A. However my pre season odds are 5000-1 which makes me think I'm going to get destroyed this season. The club isn't in the best financial shape so rebuilding hasn't been big. Most of my players were with me in my season in the third tier, so not of top division quality at all.

So the short of it, I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good tactic for weak teams, mainly really for damage limitation, but also to steal the odd game here and there?

I'm not really that good with tactics, but my suggestion would be to play 3 DCs, and two WBs, then take it from there. Maybe a big striker on his own up front, to challenge for long balls lumped up. Also, try to play on the counter attack, as this could be your way to catch out the opposition.

it.s really hard to find one 'cause of your players..try using 2 dm's and counterattack..and use a poacher with really good speed..if u have smth like that..

4-2-3-1 with all defensive line set to defend, defensive mids set one to defend and one to support, center mid on support, wingers one support and one attack and a big big big man up front set to head like you've never headed before. train like a bitch on your set pieces and defensive positioning, exploit your maximum loan signings for the league rules and pray to the alien overloads for guidance

play route 1 football a target man is a must ,get 1 if you don't have 1 and defend deep .good luck !
