"As Didier Drogba stepped up to take the final penalty, it seemed the moment had been written in the stars. Drogba, the man who so often through the years had carried Chelsea almost single handed, who was making his final appearance for the club before moving to China, who epitomised everything about a Chelsea team that was about to undergo a radical transition, was the man destiny had chosen to go down in history. As the ball hit the back of the net, Roman Abramovich’s dream was finally realised, the big-eared trophy was coming back to Stamford Bridge. They’d done it the hard way, but Chelsea were finally European Champions. But then came the morning after, and the questions began, where do we go from here? Will Roman remain as committed as before, now that he has achieved his quest for European glory? Will the club stick with the aging stars of the Mourinho era, or embark on a new project? How do you top a night like Munich? Welcome to Chelsea Football Club 2012/13.

Brazilian Beginning
The press had already heard the news. It was extremely difficult to get up the steps. But I was here now. Roman Abramovich's swanky London mansion, based right in the heart of Chelsea. And I was here to talk business.
"Welcome Mr Ronaldo! How was your flight?" Roman said with open arms. "Good thanks Mr. Abramovich. I really appreciate you having me in your home to talk today." I replied. "Oh, don't worry, don't worry! Let's get this done quickly then." And we strolled into a room, prepared with drinks for the two of us to have. We wouldn't be long though. I knew what he was offering me.
"…And I trust that this is all ok with you Mr Ronaldo?" Abramovich quizzed. "Of course. I look forward to working with you Mr Abramovich!" I replied. "Please, call me Roman."
And it was over as quick as it had begun. There was a new beginning in West London. The Brazilian Beginning. And I was leading it.
