Borussia Dortmund hire Legend

Earlier this morning, Borussia Dortmund President Rienhard Rauball strolled out of the underground tunnel of the Signal Iduna Park with a very important announcement to make. To the fan's greatest dismay, "tactical genius" Jurgen Klopp had decided to resign permanetly from managing. Due to his love for the club , he has decided to stay and he will be the club's newest ambassador.

On the other hand, Dortmund Legend Michael Zorc has been appointed to fill in the heavy shoes of Jurgen Klopp and hopefully it will be a great success. Rienhard Rauball has said that he is delighted that the team will remain in good hands. Zorc had previously been assisting the coaches of the academy as he loves the youth.

Zorc is well-known at Dortmund and is a club Legend. He was given the nickname "Susi". During his ilustrious career Susi was an outstanding player and was essential in the heart of the BVB midfield. He made an amazing 463 appearances for the club and he scored 131 goals throughout his career. He played 17 full seasons at the club and never left. He was a very loyal player.

Michael is determined to play a huge roll in Dortmund's further success.

Getting Comfortable

As the new manager of the German Champions Borussia Dortmund, my dreams have really come true as I have longed to reunite with the club and I have successfully done so. Today, is my first press conference as manager of the club and I will explain my visions for the club.

I want to expand the broadness of the squad and strengthen the weak areas of the club. I wish to do more than what I have been asked to do. For my season expectations I have been asked to get to the Quarter Final in the Champions League, which I can guarantee everyone I will. I have also been asked to win the Bundesliga. I believe that it can be done under Jurgen Klopp , then it can be done under me. I also have to reach the final of the German Cup. I don't want to toot my own horn but I certainly have the capability to achieve all the goals that have been set for me.

I have been very focused in the training sessions as I wish to identify the players with good potential ability. I enjoy watching the youth play in training as they are the future of the world. They are the Golden Boys. I don't want to talk to much but I will let the way the team plays speak for its self.

I was asked to come and do a very important job and I will live up to all expectations.
Very, very nice start :D

The German Super Cup

The most competitive match in Germany. The Derby. Bayern Munchen vs Borussia Dortmund. As we all very well know, Dortmund participated in this match this fine afternoon because they won the Bundesliga last season. Bayern were here because they won the German Cup last season. For both clubs it is the first competitive game of the season and they'll both be looking to start on a high note. As usual it will be a very heated battle between the two German Giants but who will prevail victorious?

For such a big match it was unsurprisingly dirty with tackles flying and four yellow cards were brandished by the foreign referee. It was a very interesting match to watch and it lived up to expectations. Going into the match Bayern Munchen were favourites but at the end of the day Dortmund won the cup. It was an incredible way to begin the season with a victory over their fierce rivals Die Bayern.

Michael Zorc has really done himself good by winning a trophy so early on in his managerial career. He really kept his word. He will do very well in near future. It was a very spirited performance for the BVB team that was thoroughly rewarded. It had to be decided with a thrilling penalty shoot-out.

A good start to your managerial career :D

Transfer Swoop

Roman Weidenfeller is a very experience individual but nevertheless he is not getting an younger. Michael Zorc has said on numerous that he is mainly interested in his Golden Boys, the youth. He has made a bold decision to sell Weidenfeller while he still has value and not when he is worthless. Weidenfeller is well past his peak but is still a class keeper. On the other hand, Marc Andre ter Stegen has been brought in as his replacement. Zorc believes that he has more to offer as he is young and has good potential. Ter Stegen could grow up to be the best keeper in the world and he will certainly portray the ability of his mentor Oliver Kahn.

Weidenfeller went to Stuttgart for £5 M earlier in the transfer window. In the past few days Michael Zorc brought in Marc Andre ter Stegen as his immediate replacement. This was arguably the wisest decision Zorc has made so far. Zorc revealed ter Stegen in a press conference. He was thrilled to have him as part of his arsenal that will look at retain the Bundesliga title and win some more silverware. Rienhard Rauball is approving all of this and it is working well for Dortmund. Ter Stegen is a very interesting young prospect and has made a fair amount of playing time and appearances for Germany. Ter Stegen has been bought by Dortmund for £17.75 M. Borussia Monchengladbach initially asked for £22.5 M, but Zorc had it brought down to a more suitable price.

Transfer Tricks

After the disposal of Sebastian Kehl , who has now moved on to pastures new at Manchester City has been replaced by a younger player. This player is Marek Hamsik. The twenty-five year old midfield maestro will be a great addition to the squad to deepen and strengthen the midfield. Zorc has promised that he will only keep players that perform consistently and are useful players. He is looking to remove all deadwood from the squad.

Hamsik moved to Dortmund for a record transfer fee of £27 M yesterday after passing his medical. Once again, Zorc revealed him in a press conference and he believes that even though Marek has language difficulties , he will fit in just fine. He has kissed his former Napoli teammates goodbye and is looking forward to a bright future at BVB. Everyone knows that it will be a tough move for him and that he will mainly miss his best friend Edison Cavani.

Deadline Day Dilemma

As always deadline day is an action packed event that always has surprises. Borussia Dortmund were successful on multiple occasions this afternoon as they bought and sold players.
Players Sold:
Sven Bender to Chelsea. £8M
Roman Weidenfeller to Stuttgart.£5M
Felipe Santana to Fiorentina. £5.25M
Kevin Grosskreutz to Napoli. £ 9M
Sebastian Kehl to Manchester City. £ 26.5 M

Players Bought:
Marc-Andre ter Stegen from Borussia Monchengladbach. £17.75 M
Marek Hamsik from Napoli. £27 M
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal. £18.75 M
Yassine Benzia from Olympique Lyonnais. £7.5 M

Zorc has really brought in useful youth players. He is proving to be a real man of his word.
