I seriously need help with this, so I used the FM editor too make my club (Everton) have the biggest reputation and lots of money. So, money means buying players and Marek Hamsik had handed in a transfer request so I put a bid in which was accepted by Napoli. However, when I go into contract negotiations, all I get is "My client isn't interested in entering contract negotiations with your club"
So, I move on and look for another player but it is the same thing over and over again. Even players from my own club aren't interested!!

When you tried editing the club's reputation you probably didn't do it well. The only reason I could think players such as Hamsik would reject you is because your team is little. Check your editor data and make sure the reputation is on 20.
never hurts to prep a purchase by praising them in the media a few days before contract negotiations either... get an extra point or so in their 'likes you' and 'likes your club' stats
but with so many rejecting i think Seni is probably right. The edited data either hasn't taken hold or done a number on you.

If my reputation is on 20, won't that mean that my team are not well known?
Well, it is Everton after all;)
it also depends on other factors like are you playing european football or not. And also got something to do with the transfer period or not.
For example i created trough genie scout a shortlist with players with a pa of 170+ and when i try to sign a player in december they did not want to join but when i tried in januari about 75% of my list was interrested.
So i guess wait for a transfer period and then try again.
ps i have the highest rep. possible as club and i play in the bet. sq. premier league so non football league but i won the fa cup last year so i'm playing europa league this year and i'm in the knock out stage at this moment.
