Kicker: “Lucien Favre: Gefeuert von Gladbach!”
L'Equipe: “Lucien Favre quitte Gladbach!”
La Gazzetta Dello Sport: “Lucien Favre parte da Borussia-Park!”
The Daily Mirror: “Gladbach fires Favre!”

Sky Sports News:

Today, we have news that Borussia Monchengladbach has sacked Lucien Favre. Other reports claim that he quit, although this is the statement that was released on Gladbach’s website by Chairman, Ralf Konigs:
"Lucien Favre has been relieved of his duties at Borussia Monchengladbach. We wish Lucien the best of luck in the future. Finally, we will be on the lookout for the best candidate interested to take this club forward, so be patient, Foals." (Gladbach fans are nicknamed as the Foals.)
There are many candidates who are up for the job, but there is nothing yet on who will become the new manager.

DAILY MIRROR: UNKOWN FOREIGNER APPOINTED AS GLADBACH MANAGER

Today, we have surprising news with unknown Australian-Lebanese Manager Hamoudi Fayad being appointed as the Borussia Monchengladbach manager! Here is what Ralf Konigs had to say:
"Personally, I felt like appointing a well-known manager would be too mainstream, and I had come up across an old friend, who wasn't very well-known as a footballer. He played in the Sunday Leagues and he called me up a few months ago to tell me about achieving his Pro License, so he was at the top of my candidate list. He is a passionate man, he knows what he wants, and he can get it. He's only 26, and I will give him time. We were 8th place last season, so the minimum I expect from him is a 7th placed finish. Hopefully, later on today, he will hold a press conference to talk about how he feels and reveal his plans, that's all I have for now. Thank you."

PRESS CONFERENCE @ BORUSSIA PARK

HF - Hamoudi
R - Reporter(s)

R - Welcome to Borussia-Park Hamoudi! How do you feel?
HF - I feel like I am on top of the World, first of all Ralf Konigs is a great man for giving me this opportunity. Gladbach is a club close to my heart even though I do not support them, that reason is because I support Liverpool and both clubs' fans have a great link between each other.

R - How will you fare without speaking German?
HF - Well, it will be quite tough although I will have my interpreters along with having German lessons 2-4 times a week.

R - What are your plans for this club?
HF - For this season, the minimum is to qualify for Europe. For the coming seasons, I want to stabilize this team to become a "top-4" team. Then I want to take over Bayern and Dortmund and finally, win the UEFA Champions League. Hopefully with the backing of Ralf, this will happen.

R - How will you plan to do that?
HF - Well, that questions is going towards transfers so, I will be mentioning my love for youngsters. I have a tight transfer budget, I will offload any UN-NEEDED players, but I will keep players over 30 to become role models for my youngsters like Xhaka, Herrmann, Younes, ter-Stegen and more.

R - Finally, will you reveal any tactical advice?
HF - I do not wish to talk about tactics, so I do not expose any of my plans. I have to go now, thank you for having me.
You look like a natural writer!

Good luck

In 11 friendlies, Hamoudi's Gladbach have only won 4. Now, these are friendlies, but we went on to ask him why his team lost to the likes of SK Sturm Graz and Rapid Wien, before the interview, these were the results:
vs. Gladbach II (H) -- 2-0
vs. SK Rapid Wien (A) -- 1-4
vs. Aachen (A) -- 1-1
vs. SK Sturm Graz (A) -- 2-6
vs. Arsenal (H) -- 0-3
vs. Dusseldorf (A) -- 0-1
vs. Napredak (A) -- 1-1
vs. Hajduk Kula (A) -- 1-2
vs. SC Wiener Neudstadt (A) -- 3-1
vs. Bottrop (H) -- 4-2
vs. Wegberg-Beeck (A) -- 2-0

Now, losses to unknown teams like Hajduk Kula were unacceptable but this is what Hamoudi had to say:
"Wow, we lost 5 games in our friendlies, some against unknown teams. Look at me, do I care? The answer is no. Why? That is because I setup these friendlies so the lads can get used to tactics and gain match fitness. If the media will start causing speculation because of friendlies that will help my team tactically, then I will show them how Die Fohlen play when the Bundesliga starts!"

Fayad, known to be passionate, was aggressive to the press this week and stormed out after "stupid" reports. Stay tune for everything on Gladbach on Sky Sports News.
