BREAKING NEWS! – PEARSON SACKED AS FOXES MANAGER

In an unexpected Press Conference held earlier today at The Walkers Stadium Leicester City Chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha has announced that Nigel Pearson has left the club by mutual consent. Srivaddhanaprabha refused to go into any detail on the reasons why but claimed that both parties thought that this was the best way foward.

When asked how long it would take for them to find a replacement Srivaddhanaprabha said that it had already been taken care of and that as of July 17th 2012 former foxes favourite Gary Lineker would be taking over. This had already been planned but due to legal reasons and Linekers commitments to his contract as host of Match Of The Day on the BBC this could not be revealed any sooner.

Lineker is certainly a favourite of the midlands club after starting his career there scoring 95 goals in only 194 games. Lineker is also the second top goal scorer in English International history with 48 goals in 80 appearances.

Many pundits believe that Gary does not have the tenacity to take on management after being referred to as Mr Polite on many occasions after not once receiving a yellow or a red in the whole of his playing career.

Lineker did not have much to say in the press release except that his aim is to get Leicester city promoted back to where they belong in the Premier League. He also stated “I have recently critisized England Manager Roy Hodgson on twitter and many people told me to put my money where my mouth is, this is me doing that”

Well here at the BBC would like to wish Gary good luck on all his endeavours and hope that he is a successful as a manager as he was a player.
Good luck Gary, and welcome to FM Scout! :)
How do you pronounce the chairman's name? :))

Leicester City End Of August Review

Leicester have had a pretty good pre-season and start to the league and cup so far going unbeaten in competitive fixtures leaving them in the third round of the Capital One Cup and 9th in the league. Lineker has shown himself to be fairly shrewd in the market bringing in young blood that already has the quality to perform at this level with potential to play higher if Leicester progress to play a higher standard of football. The only loss to come has been a 1-0 loss against Sevilla.

After securing the deal for Tabb, Lineker splashed out for young starlet Mattheus From Flamengo for a bargain 925k this met the active release fee clause in his contract. This will be considered a coup for a play touted at the next Zinho. His Father was former Brazil World Cup winner Bebeto. The Foxes fans will be expecting big things from this young attacking midfielder.
