Poll: Emulating the Special One!

Ok so im thinking about doing a story about the manager, i want it to be realistic, starting from low down and becoming the manager at top clubs. I want to journey in the game like Mourinho has, i was thinking of starting at Porto and then moving to england and making a team like tottenham win the league or maybe just like Mourinho go to Chelsea hopefully!! then all around the best clubs in europe and one day...come HOME to my favoured club in England! I feel this story has potential, the thing i cant decide is whether to start at a mid table Portuguese team and then get offered a job at one of the top 2 in the division and then try and win something to get noticed or just save time and start at Porto or Benfica and then make the jump to a higher league?

Only thing with starting at a mid table team is that i want this story to pick up straight away lol not be waiting for a season.

If you really want to emulate Mourinho's career then i recommend starting at Porto but work a backstory into your first post or two to explain the seasons previous, starting at a lower team... while a more realistic approach... may mean that you are off the main thread of the story before it even begins as you might not get offered the porto/benfica job and might disappear off to holland etc.

In short, starting at Porto and doing well there is more likely to get you a nice offer in England as per your desires

You hit the nail on the head!! Ive managed in Portugal before, and never seen the top two managers move or get sacked, then like you say the flame will have burnt out as id move to holland or somewhere...hmmm yes i think i will start at Porto as the story is about the teams after the first season.

As a FC Porto fan, I recommend Porto. They already have a good team, and in the second season Reyes and Herrera arrive to the team. Winning the Portuguese League it's easy but try to win the champions.
