New Manager

I Roman Abramovich would like to publicly announce our new manager Robert Lawrence
although I am sure many of our fans will be upset by the appointment of a relatively unknown manager, however we hope that they will support and respect the decision made by the club in this decision and allow him time to implement his idea's on the squad.

Back room Reshuffle
.
It would seem that Mr Lawrence has wasted no time addressing what he believes to be some of the issues at Chelsea since taking over as the new Manager. With no less than 11 staff members being moved on. Although most of these are scouts it has come as a bit of a shock at the dismissal of Assistant manager Boudewjin Zenden as he was only recently appointed to the position himself, it would appear that he is very keen to get his own back room staff in. The list of the staff removed will follow below

Boudewjin Zenden – Assistant Manager
Tony White – Scout
Adie Mings – Scout
Scott Mclachlan – Scout
Mick McGivern – Scout
Gerry Kelly – Scout
Alf Blanford – Scout
Stuart Vaughan – Under 18's Physio
Julian Redhead – Under 18's Physio
Eva Carneiro – Physio
Matt Birnie – Fitness Coach

At this moment there has been no news on who Robert Lawrence is looking at to replace these back room member with.

Preseason Friendlies.
only posting subs used rather than the list of subs available just because of the 12 subs selected. It’ll be a full list when we aren't doing friendlies though.

21/7/2012
Team Line up – Turnbull,Ferreira,Cahill,Luiz,Azpillicueta,Romeu,Lampard,Mata,Hazard,Moses,Torres
Subs used -

Chelsea 3 – 2 Roma
Totti(6,45+1)
Torres(26,43)
Ba(90+2)
Man of the Match – Fernando Torres

Good win very close there actually thought I was going to lose so glad that we managed to win it even though it is just a friendly. Pleased with the Improvement from Torres this game also. Unfortunately Moses picked up an injury and is out for some time also Oscar picked up an injury too but will only keep him out for a few days.

31/7/2012
Team Line up – Turnbull,Ferreira,Cahill,Luiz,Azpillicueta,Mikel,Ramirez,Lalkovic,Oscar,Hazard,Torres
Subs used – Lampard

Olympiakos 4 – 2 Chelsea
Torres(11)
Maniatis(40)
Lampard(pen 79)
Fuster(46) (89)
Pantelic (82)

Man of the Match – David Fuster

Hugely Disappointing display with various players under performing the worst of which is John Obi Mikel with a rating of 3.1 others who under performed for me are – Lalkovic 5.6 Oscar 5.3 Cole 5.6. I couldn't believe the display we put on defensively it was awful along with providing support upfront it just wasn't good enough.Torres was the one bright spark with a 7.6 rating.

8/8/2012
Team Line up – Cech,Bertrand,Terry,Luiz,Azpillicueta,Romeu,Lampard,Mata,Oscar,Hazard,Torres
Subs used –

This is a screenshot of the formation I have used the reason I have set my team up this way is due to the number of attacking midfield players that Chelsea have and I am hoping by having Torres supported by the likes Hazard,Mata & Oscar will give him lots of options either for laying the ball off or getting in on goal himself.

Fines & Unrest

It would appear pre-season has not been as smooth a ride as Chelsea FC would like there fans to believe according to our sources after one of the games several players had been fined and gone on to hold talks with there manager about what they believe was unfair disciplinary action. It is believed that several players are understood to be wanting to leave the club due to the behavior shown by there new manager.
Good start but I would have a separate post for the friendly's IMO but never the less good writing.
What Wellsy said. Don't stuff everything in one post. It would make it boring and readers wouldn't want to read.

Nevertheless, it's a very good effort for a first story so far and I'll be following to see how you'll do.

By the way, welcome to FM Scout :)
@Wellsy I was just trying to get a reasonable amount on there so I wasn't leaving it with just the first paragraph.

@GlennT Cheers I've been reading a few on here but never got round to registering and posting one of my own.

Welcome to the site!

Very good start to your story

Ashley Cole's Availability

Our Sources indicate that Ashley Cole was one of the players recently fined during pre-season and due to this has declared himself interested in a shocking move away from the club,Cole was heard speaking to his close friend declaring that Lawrence is a joke for the fining him with a one week wages when he personally felt that he didn't play badly,He is said to also believe that things are now too strained at the club for him to stay. Cole aged 31 would still be a good buy for any of the top teams in Europe with several clubs already monitoring the situation such as the premier league champions Manchester city and this report believes that Lawrence would be stupid to let him leave.

Chelsea bound?

Speculation suggests an bruno indi could on his way to Chelsea after they have been said to have been scouting the young Dutchman although this has done nothing to dampen reports that Cole could be set to leave Chelsea FC in the near future.Although with Bruno being a relatively young player aged just 20 it is possible that he may simply be being monitor for the time being. Many fans of the club will be hoping this to be true and that relationships between the manager and Cole can still be repaired despite claims made by Cole.
A good start to the story. Keep it up and welcome to FMScout.

Lampard pens new deal

We are delighted to report that after a lengthy negotiation with Frank we have managed to agree a new one year deal.We at the club understand how important it is too keep Frank here for the foreseeable future, we'd also like to thank the fans for there patience regarding this piece of business as we are aware of the rumors suggesting that he could leave for nothing.

FL: I am delighted to have signed a new contract with Chelsea I must admit with the new boss coming in I was worried that I may be leaving the club quite soon however I was delighted when he pulled me to one side and said that we needed to discuss a new contract,I am equally pleased to be able to work with our new manager and believe that he has the best interest of the club at heart. I would also like to reassure the fans that at no point did I ever want to leave this club.

Lawrence's Announcement

I would like to take this time to respond to recent reports that I have unjustifiably disciplined some of my playing staff although I won't be mentioning any names,I would like to point out that these players failed to give an appropriate level of performance for the club and fans. After all it is the fans of this great club who travel all this way and pay there wages who they have really let down and I for one am sure that action had to be taken to make sure that my players understand the importance of being 100% motivated no matter of the type of match it maybe.I am delighted that this issue has now been dealt with and this is the last I will speak of the matter. I hope that we as a club can put this situation behind us and move forward.

Lawrence makes things worse

In wake of his recent announcement it has come to light that A.Cole has been placed on the transfer list with a reported figure of around 18 million attached to him, although it a statement hasn't yet been issued on the reasoning behind transfer listing Mr Cole as it has come such a short time after the announcement the manager made earlier most fans believe that its due to the statements made by the current boss and are hoping in future he will learn to be more lenient with his playing staff.

One fan claimed that Lawrence should leave any sort of media announcements to someone else,as he blatantly doesn't have the tongue for it.
@Padster no one told me she was hot she could have stayed ..... crap "physiotherapy stats though"

Chelsea Agree fee for Alderweireld

Reports coming out of the Chelsea camp suggest that they have managed to agree a fee of around 8million to sign up & coming Toby Alderweireld, Lawrence clearly believes defence is an area that needs working on after already sending scouts to report on both Bruno Indi and Jean-Armel Kanak-Biyik it would also appear that Lawrence is targeting youthful defenders as the oldest of these 3 players is aged just 20.It is suspected that he plans to use terry to mentor Alderweireld, In hope of him managing to pass on some of his experience so that when the time comes for terry to take the role that is already waiting for him in the clubs backroom staff Alderweireld will be more than capable to make the step up.

Lawrence chasing Lampard replacement

Robert Lawrence has publicly declared interest in Van Ginkel and is expected to place a bid for the wonderkid in hope of getting English International Frank Lampard to pass on his experience. It is believed that Lawrence had asked Lampard for suggestions on who he believes would be able to take over his role if he decides to retire when his contract is up next season. It's Widely expected that it would take a bid of around 10 million for vitesse to sell the player however for a team like Chelsea it isn't expected to be an issue. The only issue that remains is for the manager to decide if he does bid for Marko,In what position he would play him as he is so versatile and can play anywhere accross the middle from midfield centre to attacking midfield left and right. Although Chelsea will face some competition for there man from the likes of Manchester United & Tottenham who are also said to be looking at the dutch wonderkid.

Cole bid rejected

Manchester City are understood to have lodged an 8m bid for the Chelsea Icon however its believed that Lawrence has refused to allow the fullback to hold talks with the premier league champions claiming that the bid is ridiculous and well below the valuation set by the club.He has also stated that Manchester city should come back when they are serious as he would not like to have any more disruption as he aims to prepare his squad for the upcoming match in the community shield.

Although Manchester city are well known for splashing the cash to land there man they're currently believed to be looking at alternatives to Cole.It is suspected that the 18million asking price is well above what the Manchester club are believed to be hoping to pay for a player of Ashley Cole's age.
The first few posts have been brilliant for a newbie at story-writing and I can really see an improvement with each post, keep it up mate!
Wow last few posts are quality mate! Nice transfer fee for Alderweild as well. Well done keep it up :)

Chelsea player set for exit

Reports coming out of Chelsea FC this morning are declaring that a Chelsea FC player has agreed an undisclosed fee to join Inter Milan, although there has been no official news on which player it has said to be Ashley Cole who was recently linked with a move away to Manchester City.
As predicted there has been no shortage of interest in the English fullback who many have credited as the best fullback in the world. It would appear that manager Lawrence has decided it is possibly best to move the fullback on since Cole is looking for a move away, It's believe that Lawrence is worried that Cole being a senior player at Chelsea FC could try to create unrest in the dressing room.

Benayouns Departure

After a two year stint at Chelsea football club,Isreali Winger Yossi Benayoun is leaving Chelsea Football Club after having agreed a deal with Inter Milan. Chelsea believe Benayoun saw this as a good option for him to extend his playing career for few more years. Chelsea are believed to have thanks Yossi Benayoun for his service to the club and wish him well at his new home in Italy.

Malouda set to sign

We are delighted to announce the signing of Florent Malouda for 1 million and are hoping that his experience in the champions league will help us achieve our target for this season although Moyes has also taken this time to reiterate that Malouda will have to work hard to stay in the first team. The Everton manager is delighted to have a chance to work with Malouda a player who he believes is able to slot into many positions with in the squad. Many Everton fan are believed to be pleased that the former French International made the switch to there club given that he had to take a significant drop in wages and are looking forward to him rolling back his clock and giving them some truly impressive performances.

Player Releases & Free transfers

Chelsea football club would like to announce that senior goalkeeper Hilario has been give a free transfer to Sporting whilst youth player Deen Conteh has also been release although he is widely expected to sign for Aldershot FC within the week, Its also believed that Sam walker has left the London based club for the north east. unfortunately they have all been deemed surplus to requirements for the upcoming season. We would like to wish them well in there future and thank them for there services.

Sun 12/08/2012 Community Shield

Today's fixture brings Chelsea & Manchester City to Villa park,Chelsea's new manager certainly has something to prove to the fans today after the reported bust up with fullback Cole. It looks like Lawrence might be trying to build bridges with Cole as he has started him in this match. This could however be a chance for the want away fullback to impress potential suitors Manchester City.

Team Line up : Cech,Cole,Terry,Luiz,Azipillicueta,Romeu,Lampard,Mata,Osca,Hazard,Torres,Turnbull,Lalkovic,Ivanovic,Cahill,Bertrand,Mikel

37min – Freekick to Manchester City as Aguero is pushed by Cole, who recieves a yellow card.
A.Cole
Half Time
So as we enter into the break its Chelsea who are just clinging on, they haven't really had anything going forwards so far,If it wasn't for Terry they'd be going in 1-0 down and that would make things even worse for Lawrence. As it stands however its 0-0. Chelsea really need to improve in the second half though.

Kaka replaces Dzeko during the break
Dzeko
Kaka
47mins – Kaka Manages to get away from Terry just outside the box and and shoots but it hits the woodwork and then cech pounches on the loose ball.

49mins – Kompany Slides in on Oscar with an excellent tackle,It likes like Oscar is going to need to come off after that one.So on goes Mikel for the injured Oscar.
Oscar
John Obi Mikel
82mins – Silva plays the ball forward as Kompany climbs above Mikel. Kompany headers the ball at goal,Cech does well to parry.

90+2mins – Mata hits the ball in search of Torres who dribbles past Kompany and puts the ball into the box,Maicon does well to clear the ball but Lampard rifles it back in. Kalarov gets in front of the shot and puts it out for a corner. Hazard with an in swinging corner,Kompany heads clear but only as far as the edge of the box,Mikel hits it on the Volley with his left foot. MIKEL SCORES FOR CHELSEA. 1-0 Chelsea. What a time to score.
Mikel

90+4mins – Last chance for City surely.
Manchester City change to a 4-2-4 formation. Silva gallops past Lampard & aims a searching ball out to his right looking for Kaka but it goes out for a throw in as the whistle blows for full time.
