Abramovic finally wins Champions League

After nearly £1B spent on the team Roman Abramovic has finally seen Chelsea win the Champions league.
And after Didier Drogba stroked home Chelsea’s¬ ¬winning goal in a stunning penalty shoot-out triumph, the club’s Russian owner pointed skywards as if he was the recipient of Divine intervention.
John Terry, suspended for the final, said: “This is wonderful for the owner.
“He was in tears at the end, but he has put so much into achieving this.”
Nobody will ever forget the sheer grit, tenacity and bravery displayed by the Blues as they battled to -become the first London team to lift Europe’s premier club trophy.
Chelsea won the penalty shoot-out 4-3 after the teams were tied 1-1 after extra-time.

Abramovic – ‘My Work Here Is Done

A press statement from Chelsea owner Roman Abramovic has revealed that he will be leaving the club and putting the club up for sale. He feels that he has won all he can and wants to purchase a new club to build up like he did at Chelsea. The Russian addressed fans at Stamford Bridge and was highly emotional about his time at the club.

“I have spent a long time here and I have enjoyed every single moment of it. We have built something from nothing and that has been a joy to watch. I will always have this club in my heart and I will always support the team. I want to thank all of the fans for all of the support I have been given and I leave you with the holy grail of football, the European Cup. It was an honour to win it and I feel the fans deserved it. I want to wish you all the best for the future and good luck”.

This was to be Romans last action as Chelsea owner as a local businessman purchased the club from the Russian. There are talks that Roman could be interested in buying Derby County in a bid to return them to the top flight. Derby County supporters group had this to say about Romans reported interest.

“We are looking forward to seeing if Roman is seriously interested then the club will hopefully receive a bid and look into the interest from Roman”.

Derby County Purchased by Abramovic

It has been confirmed that Russian billionaire Roman Abramovic has completed the purchase of Derby County Football Club. The decision comes as a shock to many fans as not many people expected this to happen. The club has also confirmed the deal that will see Abramovic take 100% control of the club. He will not change the directors at the club but it is unclear if Nigel Clough will keep his job. The Russian is said to be not keen on Nigel as he wants to experiment with the club to see how far it can go. A statement was also made by the Russian and he said to the fans,

“I am very happy to be here. I know a lot about the club and I want to take the team far. I will invest a lot into the club but also on the youth as they are the future of the club. I am hoping for many long and joyful years at the helm of this great club”.

The Russian clearly showed his intentions and his idea on youth. The team will want to get straight into pre-season weather Nigel Clough is there or not.

Derby County sack Clough

Derby County Football Club has terminated the contract of Nigel Clough with immediate effect. The son of Brian had been at the club for 3 years and new owner Roman Abramovic has decided that Nigel is not the way forward for the club. Nigel is said to be sad after being sacked but understand sit will be best for the club in the long run. Many managers will jump at the chance to become the new manager with Romans money entering the club but it will be up to Roman to decide who shall lead his new team.

“I want a youthful manager. A manager who can be here for years. I want them to be able to bring great success to the club and lift many trophies. I have a vision of a team that is successful and that can be great but I need a manager who is up to the job”.

Many wonder who the new manager could be but here are the favourites for the job:
Mark Hughes 3/1
Darren Ferguson 7/1
Steve Howard 20/1
Jose Mourinho 80/1
It is a time of desperation for Rams fans as they want their team to have a full pre-season and make sure they have a successful campaign.
What a twist! Expecting a huge manager now :P good luck

Derby County hire ‘Unknown’ Wells

Derby County have hired Matt Wells as their new manager. The midland based 40 year old has been hired by the club on a one year deal. Many fans have questioned the clubs decision as they don’t believe he has the skills to take the club forward. Wells had a playing career but only made it in the lower leagues and he played for Gresley FC for 16 years. He gained his badges a year ago and wants to prove a point to the footballing world and show them that he can be a great. Roman Abramovic released a statement to announce his support of his new manager,

“Matt is a great guy. I let him have an interview at the club and he blew me away. His tactical knowledge was the best I have ever seen. He has a great idea about how to run the club and I have promised him funds to make sure that his first season is successful”.

Also Matt Wells had something to say to the fans of the club later on after Abramovic’s statement,

“I am delighted to be hired. It is a dream. I want to thank Roman on taking a chance on me as an unproven manager. I want to bring trophies to this club and getting into the Premier League is my first priority. All I ask is the fans to stick with me and help me help their team succeed, thank you”.

Many bookies are receiving bets on how long Wells will be in a job and he is 6/1 to not have a job by November.
With Roman Abramovic as chairman, you should be sacked in no time :P
