2013-06-29 20:44#116666 RandydeB : Sharing 2nd place with 3 others :D Bayern just slightly ahead, thing might become very interesting. For the Champions League best of luck 2nd place might be a possibility.

2nd or 3rd would be absolutely amazing but there are so many top sides (or better than us) that I'd be content with 6th or 7th.
How this will work is every page will have a song on it from now on. Music is an important part of football so I'm incorporating that into my story to add a new dynamic and something to look forward to. I apologise if my music taste doesn't appease you but I'll try to vary it as much as possible :D

U2 - Beautiful Day

We will kick this off with same basics. Everybody knows this song and it's one that's been embraced by the football world (and one that Justice likes to use a lot). Enjoy!

Gladbach Player of the Month

Mike Hanke

Once again, Hanke’s work up top has been very valuable to us. He’s really taking this opportunity and giving me a tough choice to make once all out strikers are fully fit.

Review: The results was what I outlined last month and it is what has gone against us this month. The performances have been there but we have few points to show for our efforts. We must acknowledge we faced a many top sides too but it would have been ideal to have gone the extra mile and gotten what we deserve.

BAYERN AS GOOD AS CHAMPIONS

Borussia Mönchengladbach manager Jens Lehmann has hailed Bayern Munich side as “champions” following their clash in the German Cup.

The Bavarian’s cruised comfortably to a 2-0 victory away from home at Borussia-Park, leaving Lehmann to imply just how good Bayern Munich has been thus far.

“Bayern Munich is as good as champions for me already. It’s difficult for me to say this of course because the rest of Germany hates “FC Hollywood” and I’ve always represented teams that were firm rivals of theirs.

“The quality they have is undeniable at the moment and I would easily categorise them as one of the best in the world right now, especially with Pep (Guardiola) in charge.”

Newly appointed manager Pep Guardiola has taken Germany by storm after winning all competitive games for Bayern Munich, so far leaving them 1st in the Champions’ League group stage, in the 3rd round of the German Cup and top of the Bundesliga with 8 points in advance from rivals Borussia Dortmund.

LEHMANN TARGETS EUROPA

Borussia Mönchengladbach manager Jens Lehmann has set his sights on Europa League football after three straight defeats in the UEFA Champions’ League.

The Germans who lost narrowly on three occasions, find themselves bottom with 3 points less than Valencia and would need to finish 3rd to be demoted to the Europa League.

Lehmann backed his side to pull a few surprises but has so far come away with nothing but dignity and he believes it’s that very positive that can help them out next week versus Valencia.

“We’ve lost 3 games which is not ideal at all. We had aspirations of course but we also acknowledge the difficulty of the task. We now have to fight for everything we have and that’s Europa League qualification.

“To do so we will have to beat Valencia at the Mestalla and Lille at Borussia Park. Those two games are absolutely crucial and of course very difficult but while there is still life, there is hope.”
Disappointing UCL results indeed. I hope you can rally round and qualify :D
Tough results in Europe but its just the first season and you'll definitely strengthen!
Very tough group in the Champions League and the results are disappointing till now, but you can now aim to the Europa League qualification and to do better there... It's only the first season...

A good way in the league till now... Keep it up and maybe next year you can have a revenge in the Champions Leauge! ;)
