About the Story

I am starting new story which I intend to stay with for at least two seasons. My aim in the is to achieve as much with the club as possible and maybe even make it into the Premier League and even the Champions League. I have got information from the site on how to succeed in LLM (Lower League Management).

About the club

http://www.corbytownfc.co.uk/resources/uploads/news/Hayes___Yeading_United_FC12-112339.png

Hayes and Yeading United:
Hayes and Yeading are a football club that were founded a few years ago in 2007. They are a semi-professional football team who play in the Blue Square South after relegation last season. Their home stadium is called The Kingfield Stadium which is in Woking however are playing at Western Super Mare's ground and moving back to Kingfield Stadium at the beginning of next season. The club own only very basic training facilities and very basic youth facilities. The club is mainly known as "UNITED"

Who's the Manager

Instead of doing research into Hayes and Yeading former players, I have decided to just be myself in the story (Lloyd Debenham). And I will write the story in first person (ie. diary entries and letters)

Ambitions for the Future

Promotions and Qualifications:
Promotion to Blue Square Premier
Promotion to Football League
Promotion to Premier League
Win Premier League
Qualify for Champions League
Win Champions League

Trophies:
FA Trophy
FA Cup
Capital One Cup
Johnstone's Paint Trophy
Good luck LD :D
Good luck and 2 seasons dont sound much but have fun.
2013-07-02 19:01#117488 Louis O. : Good luck LD :D
Thanks!
2013-07-02 19:05#117489 wellsy1498 : Good luck and 2 seasons dont sound much but have fun.
That's only a minimal, but I do wish do it as long as possible.

Joint Promotion favorite manager less for Season

Hayes and Yeading United are still without a manager and the season will happen in just over 1 week. The teams director of football Tony O'Driscoll had to take charge of all friendlies.

Friendlies (before Debenham arrived)

Hayes & Yeading 0-3 Cheltenham

Bedford 0-3 Hayes & Yeading
Brown
Osei-Tutu
McLean

Hayes & Yeading 1-1 Brentford
Oyenuga

Cheshunt 2-1 Hayes & Yeading
Wishart

Wembley 1-0 Hayes & Yeading

I knew that this club needed help to get promotion. And becuase of this, I sent a letter to the offices at Hayes & Yeading (to chairman Derk Goddall):

Dear Derek Goodall,
I am writing to you to apply for the vacant manager's job that is availible at your club. I am an extremely enthusiastic manager who has just completed his coaching badges. I also have a GCSE and an A level in sport and a degree in Sport Science. I hope you take me on as I believe this club has the potential to be spectacular.

Yours sincerly,
Lloyd Debenham

And with that, I have to wait!

The Reply

Dear Mr.Debenham,

Thank you indeed for your letter. We do believe that your coaching qualifications are definitely suitable for the job and your GCSE and A level really does persuade us. Please come to our stadium; Kingsfield at 9am on Saturday 6th August. I am not availible to meet you but you shall be met by Director of Football Tony O'Driscoll.

Kind Regards,
Derek Goodall

And with that, I now had to wait until Saturday (today is Wednesday) to go to Kingsfield and meet the board and talk about possibly getting the job.

Going to Kingsfield

I arrived at the stadium in my Aston Martin, I pulled up and stepped out of the car and entered the doors of the offices and entered and went to a meeting room to talk with the Director of Football.

O'Driscoll:
Good Morning, Mr Debenham.

Debenham:
Morning.

O'Driscoll:
First of all, thank you for applying for the job. You had an extremely interesting application and CV.

Debenham:
Thanks.

O'Driscoll:
Now, in case you didn't know, we were relegated into this division last season, it was a gutting time for the club and we lost a lot of money. We need someone to take over as our boss, because the season starts in over two weeks time.

Debenham:
I see that the club needs big boost.

O'Driscoll:
Right, time for a quick tour of the ground.

Debenham:
Ok.

We went for a look and walk around Kingfield and we talked about the club and it's finances and how we did last season and about the history of the club. After the tour, we went back to the office.

O'Driscoll:
Now; we've met other candidates but some rejected the contract offer and some we didn't think that they were good enough for the job; but I think that you are just right.

Debenham:
And?

He placed a piece of paper on the table.

O'Driscoll:
Do you accept the role as the new Head Coach of Hayes & Yeading?

Debenham:
I do.

I put my signature on the contract.

O'Driscoll:
Right; you start on Monday, we look forward to seeing you. Training ground, 10:30am.

And with that, I drove off home, as a Manager.

League Table & Manager Comments

We have had the best start that we could have wished for, with a total of 13 out of a possible 15 points, it is a great record for the month. And to add to our success, we are lying 2nd in the league just behind Maidenhead both on 13 points. I hope we can continue our success and keep up our form.
A nice layout here mate. It is looking good with some great results.

But when you put a picture in put the code in this mate:

It just looks better. :P
You have very good results.
Good luck .
nice layout and also some fantastic results.

September: Keeping it up!

League Table and Manager's Notes

Not as great as August but we're still pushing for top spot but we are still 2nd in the league and if we try to avoid defeat next month then we could go on top.
Good Luck with this mate. A good start, I notice we've both ended up at the same club ;)

Will be interesting to see how your team ends up differing from mine.
