Roberto Mancini sacked
Roberto Mancini has today been sensationally sacked by the Manchester City board of directors; a decision that has surprised all football fans and players alike after the Italian successfully took them to their first Premier League title in the clubs history. During his time at the club Mancini also took City to an FA CUP Triumph taking his major trophy toll to two; a feat that isn't considered up to standers when taking into account the large sums of money made available by the owners of the club.
Since leaving the club Mancini has been quoted saying,
"Sheikh Mansour and his batch of rich kids leading the club are dreaming if they think its possible to become the best club in the world within two years, I succeeded in doing the one thing I was required to do when I was brought in to the club. I brought Progress".
Rumours coming out of the Etihad suggest Mancini was sacked due to the poor lack of form in the worlds biggest club competion, The Uefa Champions League. It is also thought the club have given up on experience; and instead plan to bring in a complete rookie to management.
