Club Information

Chester F.C. were formed in 2010 as a Phoenix Club to liquidated club Chester City F.C. In 2011 they gained their first promotion as they won the English Northern Premier League First Division N and got back to back promotions to the Blue Square Conference North as they won the English Northern Premier League Premier Division. If Chester F.C. gain promotion this year they will be the first club in English football history to gain a triple promotion.

One thing I have to tell you before you get deep into it...

You will fall in love with this club. I never want to leave. The owners are willing to help, the fans have been great, the players performed for me in the North conf. I am about to start Premier Conf and gutted pretty much the entire squad and the new boys don't seem to like me as much. I want to go back to BlueSquare North =[

I feel like that with Gainsborough Trinity, I've managed them every year since FM 2008. The furthest I got was to the Mid-Table (about 12th). It was really addicting.

Season Preview 2012-2013

Chester will start the new season in the Blue Square Conference North. Their first match will be against Oxford City on August 18th. Chester are hotly tipped to gain promotion this season and their new manager, Joey Sabin said he "is striving to help the club reach their goals".

Joey Sabin talked to a Chester Chronichle reporter: "I think Chester are a magnificent club and I will do anything to help the club reach its highest potential".

When asked whether he would need to obtain some new players, he took a moment to think about his answer "To be honest, coming from a lower division would require strengthening of some sorts, however I believe the current squad would be able to handle the pressures of playing at a higher level.

Sabin's first match in charge will be a friendly against his reserve team on the 18th of July.
End of month review: July

Chester will be hoping their league season is better than their pre-season. After only one win, against their reserves, Sabin's boys really need to buck their ideas up.

Match Reports

Chester 3-1 Chester Reserves

McGinn (42)
Linwood (47)
Brown (90+2)

Chester 1-1 Kidderminster
Gray (46)

Chester 0-2 Wrexham

Transfers

Chester brought in 5 players this month and saw the departure of 1 player. Joey Sabin has said he may need more players to leave to cut down the wage budget.

Chester's next match will be against Mossley and hopefully he will help the players prepare properly for the new season ahead.

Sabin: We're Ready

15.8.2012

After pre-season wins against Mossley and The New Saints, Joey Sabin says his new squad is more than ready for the new season ahead.

Sabin told the Chester Chronicle "My team are ready for the fight for promotion, they have gelled together and know their abilities and roles, so hopefully we're in for a eventful season".

Chester's season in the Blue Square North will kick off against Oxford City at the Court Place Farm in 3 days and with fans eyeing promotion, Sabin must be feeling the pressure know.
Sabin's Managerial Début

Joey Sabin managed his first match in his football career against Oxford City, with Chester favourites to win, did he deliver?

Oxford City 2-2 Chester
Gray (67)
M.Williams (74)

Despite dominating most of the game, Chester had to fight from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Oxford City.

Despite the disappointing result, Manager Joey Sabin seemed to be upbeat about the players performance "Although it may look like a bad result, statistically the team is going in the right direction and, with a little more hard work and dedication, we can be major contenders in this league.

Sabin's next match will be against Workington at The Deva Stadium on the 22nd of August.
Great start for your first story!
