GERMAN LEGEND HIRED AS FREIBURG MANAGER

Germany's legendary keeper Oliver Kahn has been revealed as Freiburg's new manager, following Christian Streich's recent dismissal as manager, after a 15 game losing streak. Kahn will have a lot of pressure on him as Freiburg currently sit in 17th and 6 points away from even the relegation play offs.

Kahn said to Sky Sports News: "Since retiring from football, I've always wanted the chance to be a manager. So when Freiburg came calling, it was an offer I couldn't refuse. The fact that they are relegation-threatened is only a bonus, not a problem. As now I have the chance to save them."

Chairman Fritz Keller also spoke to Germany Sports Now: "We are delighted to have a legend such as Kahn on board to help us stay in the Bundesliga. We understand that if all goes well this year, a task that only a great manager can do, he'll want to leave the club, as Freiburg aren't every manager's dream. However, we all hope that we can keep hold of Kahn, and watch him help us develop into a star club."

Many fan have expressed their delight at Kahn's appointment, saying he's the 'perfect man to take on the challenge' and the 'saviour of Freiburg'.
Oliver Kahn. He's gonna shout at a lot of people.

The players have hearing problems, well, after he's finished, anyway :P
Did not see this coming! :O

KAHN: I can save Freiburg

In his introduction to the fans as Freiburg manager, Oliver Kahn promised that he 'can save Freiburg' from the troubles and relegation battles they are currently in. Freiburg are currently sat in 17th and are 6 points adrift from relegation play-offs, but Kahn strongly believes he can save the club.

Speaking to Die Football, Kahn said: "Any fans who are in doubt have no reason to be so. It is only February, and only 6 points behind. There is no need to be concerned just yet, as we have an easy set of final fixtures, and I promise to all fans that we can stay up. Next season I plan to stay at the club if Keller is happy with it, so I hope to push for Europa League, maybe even Champions League. We're taking one step at a time."

Fans have spoken out about Kahn's words, most of it being very positive, but one crazed fan said how angry they were about the entire season.

I have always liked Kahn he should be a good manager then :D

Sorry! :(

I'm really sorry, but I've decided to end this story, as I've lost the motivation to play the save. I love writing it, but I'd rather not write more updates when I know there's no future for it after the end of the season.

For those who are interested (no one), I did manage to stay up, by 2 points, on the last day. I beat Hannover 2-1 to send Nurnburg and Hoffenheim down, joining an already relegated Augsburg.

So, as I said, I'm really sorry that I ended this, but I'd rather it was left like this, instead of halfway through the season. This story probably didn't deserve this big post, but I just felt that this was my best story yet. Stay tuned within the next few days for a new, improved story, Or don't, it's your choice :P

Sorry :(
Sorry to see Alex :( Just try and find the perfect save and don't rush in to a new story :)

Also, to win on the final day to send others down? That must've been pretty hectic :D
