Sol Campbell - Let Arsenal Arise!

Why this Story?

Two things have made me do this story: one is that my "City Life" story save would not load and with me not being able to find a backup file I have been forced to stop the story! Two: Arsenal haven't won a trophy for around seven to eight years so I intend to make them better!

Who will I be?

Make a guess!

Author's Notes

Thanks to everyone who supported me on the "City Life" story and I am sad to leave it but when it can't load and with no backup files and many attempts to restore it, I failed. I hope you love and support this one just as much as the City one. The story begins very soon!
Good Luck, Looks really good so far. Trophies are to come.
Good luck and tips to get our fans of your back;

1) Spend what is available

2) Wrap Jack in cotton wool

3) Do NOT consider 4th a trophy

4) Invest in the team not the caviare plates in the directors box

5) Make sure the club is self sufficient and do NOT let Koronke near the accounts

Today, Arsenal fans have been shocked by the surprise sacking of long serving manager Arsene Wenger. The club made a statement on their twitter page saying: “Wegner leaves Arsenal, more to follow!” Other than that there has been no more information on this story, however some further statements have been made today.

Current chairman Peter Wood-Hill has today announced two statements today: the first being this: “We are sad to get rid of Wegner but we hadn't won a trophy in seven years. And to be honest, that isn't the Arsenal way and we need to stop treating fourth place like a trophy, it is pathetic!

The second statement was even more shocking and saddening: “I am today announcing my resignation as Arsenal Chairman, the new Chairman is a very rich man who worked his way up from the bottom of the world. That will be Dragon’s Den star ‘Piers Linney’. He will make a statement shortly!"

That statement has now come in, and Linney told us: “I am a very passionate person, I am desperate to turn Arsenal’s fortunes around and to do that, and we need to spend some money!” Pier Linney later hinted towards his possible new manager: “He is very well known by the club, he has a lot of passion for this club and I believe that this club needs passion, and he will certainly bring that to the squad!

Sol Campbell signs on with Arsenal to be Head Coach

Today, Arsenal have announced their successor to long time serving manager Arsene Wenger; replacing him is former Arsenal centre-back Sol Campbell. He has signed a one-year contract with the club as what Linney calls a "trial run". Linney and Campbell both spoke to the media earlier today and their statements are below.

"I am happy to return to the club" Campbell stated, "This is a club I have so much passion for and I care so much about and I am going to put my heart, and soul into this club. We're going to shed, blood, tears, sweat and effort into this club. With a bit of elbow grease and a great team effort; we can challenge for the title again!"

Speaking to BBC Sport, Pier Linney said: "I'm so pleased to welcome Sol back to the club because he is such an icon at the club and the fans just love him. I have so much faith in Sol because he will bring 'sol" into the club and passion which is something this club has lacked in recent years!"

Fans appear to be absolutely delighted with this appointment and have even urged him to be a player manager to see his skills on the field once again. But Campbell said he is unlikely to play as he want to focus on this managing skills instead.
You spelled Wenger's name wrong :P

On another note, Arsenal aren't my favorite club, but if this is as good as your City story, I'll be following!

I have corrected it. Thank you! And yes, I do hope to bring as much success as possible to the story (like "City Life")

Author's Notes

Hey guys, I am revealing my plans for this story. I will do it for at least 2 seasons and attempt to get at least two to three bits of silverware. Afterwards I will either continue the story or I will move on depending how it goes down!

I really hope you give me the same support on this story as the previous as it is much appreciated by me.

Regards,
Lloyd

R=Reporter
SC:Sol Campbell

R: Right, first of all, you return to the club that you made 146 appearances for in two spells with the club. How does it feel to be back?
SC: It feels great, because Arsenal is a great club with some quality players that have the potential to be special, and to achieve great things

R: Now, the fans seem absolutely delighted with you're return to the club and have shown their happiness in messages. But; do you have a message for the fans?
SC: Mainly, I believe that I can give not only yours, but also our club some results, some trophies and most of all success.

R: Do you plan on changing your backroom staff?
SC: Well, some are staying but some of my own staff will be coming into the club to help the club play in my style of football and my type of coaches.

R: Could you reveal any players you wish to join the club or anyone that you have made approaches for or anything like that?
SC: (laughs), to be honest, I only have three or four targets beause this squad doesn't need much improvement! But I can reveal that we are after Stevan Jovetic!

R: What budget are you working on? What does Piers Linney exactly want to do moneywise and have you agreed on certain players?
SC: Well, as he said in the media, the club need to spend money in which to get good players to help the club grow. However our deals will have to include future fees to help with the costs of the signings!

R: Finally, where to you think that you're new Arsenal team will do in the league if all your targets sign?
SC: That's tough, without the targets we are looking at probably fourth, however with our targets, we could push for third, maybe with some luck second!
