The Brave And The Bould !!

Arsenal FC Have today announced the immediate departure of long serving manager Arsene Wenger and Have taken the "Bould" approach in appointing his assistant Steve Bould.

Outgoing Manager Arsene Wenger

Stephen Andrew "Steve" Bould (born 16 November 1962) is an English former professional footballer and assistant manager of Premier League side Arsenal.

As a player he was a defender from 1980 until 2000. Bould began his football career with his hometown club Stoke City where he gained a reputation as an impressive young defender. After spending seven seasons with the Potters it was inevitable that Bould would become one of the country's leading center backs and moved to Arsenal in 1988.

At Highbury Bould formed a formidable back line with Tony Adams, Nigel Winterburn and his former Stoke team-mate Lee Dixon and ended up with nine major honours to his name. He left the Gunners in 1999 and ended his playing career with Sunderland.

Since his playing career has ended Bould has worked at the successful Arsenal Academy as Head Youth Team Coach at Arsenal. He had been promoted to assistant manager for the 2012–13 season replacing the long serving Pat Rice by his predecessor but in a strange twist he is now set to become the new Manager.

Steve Bould At Todays Press Conference

In todays Press Conference Bould expressed that he was delighted that he had been given the opportunity at one of Europe's Elite stating that he and Arsene will remain friends and he doesn't feel that there will be any animosity between the two of them.

Bould and Wenger together in the dugout

In Recent years Arsenal have been known not to have been clinical enough since the departure of Thierry Henry and things won't have been made easy for Bould after the departure of Robin Van Persie to arch-rivals Manchester United. Bould is known as great defensive tactician, he will be hoping he can impress that onto his players.
Good luck!
I guessed it with the title ;)

Good luck too

Looks good, nice choice in manager :)

Begović Joins Arsenal

Bosnian International Asmir Begović has joined Arsenal FC for a fee off £13.5m. This is Bould's first signing and he has shown he has focused on shoring up Arsenals defensive inabilities and brought in a new number 1.

Begović already has experience in the Premier League after making his debut for Portsmouth in May 2009. In January 2010 Begović joined Stoke City for a fee of £3.25m. At Stoke, Begović has established himself as first choice keeper taking over from Thomas Sørensen and becoming a regular with Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He played in the UEFA Europa League in 2011–12 and won the player of the year award in 2012–13.
Hey mate, great start. Begovic is a super keeper(more so irl than in game) What are your plans for Szczesny?

Bould Busy Again

Arsenal manager Steve Bould has been a busy man this transfer window signing some extra players to bolster his squad for the upcoming Premier League campaign.

Bould's second signing of the window was signing was David Alaba. Alaba is an Austrian footballer who played for Bayern Munich and the Austria national football team. He holds Austria's record as the youngest player to play for the team, debuting for them as a 17-year-old. He has played a multitude of roles, including central midfield, right and left wing, but as of spring 2012 has blossomed as a left back, a role that Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes stated he sees Alaba continuing in. Bayern could not resist the temptation of a £17.75m bid from Arsenal.

Alaba stated on joining the club that he beleived in the project that Bould has sold to him and that he is convinced he will become a much better player learning from one of the understated greats of the game.

After the signing Alaba, Bould then made Ogenyi Onazi his third signing from Lazio. Bould beleives in the young defensive midfielders potential to become one of the best players in the world in that role. Onazi has had a promosing career so far and is looking to make the step up to the most challenging top flight league in the world.

Bould for his fourth signing has got Brazilian starlet Mattheus de Andrade Gama de Oliveira, or simply Mattheus after matching the very small minimum release fee clause ion Mattheus's contract of 925k.

Mattheus is a Brazilian football Attacking midfielder. He was formed in the Flamengo youth academy and had been promoted to the first team in 2012. He is also a member of Brazil U-20 team.

Mattheus, named after Lothar Matthäus , who captained the German national football team World Cup to victory in 1990 is son of former Brazilian player Bebeto, and became widely known just days after his birth due to his father's 'cradle-rocking' celebration on scoring a crucial goal against Holland in the 1994 FIFA World Cup quarter-finals.
